(1) Daily maintenance is a regular routine work that does not take up the operating hours of the equipment and is usually completed during the driving period. The key is to clean the machine, lubricate all moving parts, tighten loose threaded parts, timely inspect and adjust the motor, control instruments, various working components and pipelines, etc.
(2) Regular maintenance is generally carried out after the extruder has been running continuously for 2500-5000 hours before stopping. The machine needs to extract the screw to inspect, measure, and identify the wear of the main components, replace parts that have reached the specified wear limit, and repair damaged parts.
(3) The extruder is not allowed to run empty to avoid damaging the screw and machine shaft.
(4) If there is any abnormal noise during the operation of the extruder, it should be stopped immediately for inspection or repair.
(5) Strictly prevent metal or other debris from falling into the hopper to avoid damaging the screw and barrel. To prevent iron impurities from entering the barrel, a magnetic frame can be installed at the material inlet of the barrel; Or screen the materials beforehand.
(6) When the extruder needs to be stopped for a long time, the screw should be placed in the machine shaft and not removed. The working surface such as the head should be coated with anti rust lubricating grease.

(8) The maintenance of the gearbox of the extruder is the same as that of a general standard gearbox. Mainly inspect the wear and failure of gears, bearings, etc. The gearbox should use lubricating oil according to the machine manual, and add oil according to the specified oil level. If the oil level is too low, lubrication will not be smooth, which will reduce the service life of the parts; Excessive oil, high heat generation, high energy consumption, and easy deterioration of oil can also cause lubrication failure and damage to parts.
(9) The inner wall of the cooling water pipe of the machine barrel is prone to scaling, and the scaling should be regularly removed to ensure smooth water flow. Distilled water should be added to the cooling water tank.
(10) Special attention should be paid to checking the wear and contact of the electric brush of the DC motor that drives the screw to rotate. The insulation resistance value of the motor should also be measured regularly to ensure that it is above the specified value. In addition, check whether the connecting wires and other components are rusted and take protective measures.
