1、 Introduction to flue gas desulfurization pump


The flue gas desulfurization pump is a corrosion-resistant pump mainly used for transporting corrosive liquids. It is a widely used pump in general equipment pumps and can adapt to various working conditions, such as transporting acid, alkaline clear liquid or slurry, corrosive slurry in the metallurgical industry, dilute acid in the sulfuric acid industry, and sewage in the environmental protection industry.
Therefore, desulfurization pumps are not only corrosion-resistant but also wear-resistant, and can be used in a wide range of applications.

2、 Characteristics of flue gas desulfurization pump

1. Strong wear resistance: All overcurrent components are made of steel lined ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, which has the highest wear resistance among plastics, four times higher than nylon 66 (PA66) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and 7-10 times higher than carbon steel and stainless steel.
2. Strong impact resistance: Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene has the highest impact strength among general engineering plastics, which is 5 times that of acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene copolymer (ABS), and can maintain stability at minus 196 ℃.
3. Excellent corrosion resistance: The pump can withstand various corrosive media and organic solvents within a certain temperature and concentration range, and can be immersed in 80 types of organic solvents at 20 ℃ and 90 ℃ for 30 days. There is no abnormal phenomenon on the surface, and other physical properties are almost unchanged.
4. No noise: Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene has a higher impact absorption capacity than plastics, and has good noise reduction properties, which can greatly reduce the noise generated by liquid flow during transportation.
5. Safe and reliable, non-toxic decomposition: The pump uses ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene with extremely stable chemical properties, making it suitable for use in the food industry.
6. Low friction coefficient: The internal friction system is only 0.07-0.11, therefore it has self-lubricating properties. When lubricated with water, its dynamic friction coefficient is half that of PA66 and polyoxymethylene (POM).
7. Good anti adhesion: Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) has excellent anti adhesion properties, comparable to PTFE, and therefore performs outstandingly when transporting media with high viscosity.

4、 Precautions for using flue gas desulfurization pump

1. Assembly of bearing components: Install two angular contact ball bearings back-to-back in the bearing box, and mount them on the shaft shoulder close to the pump coupling shaft end. Install the oil baffle and cylindrical roller bearing in sequence at the other end of the shaft, tighten the bearings with round nuts at both ends, and insert the shaft into the bearing body. Install the bearing box and bearing cover respectively.
2. Assembly of packing shaft seal assembly: The packing shaft seal assembly consists of parts such as packing box, shaft sleeve, packing ring, packing and packing cover. When packing, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant carbon fiber packing can be selected.
3. Pump head assembly: Secure the bracket of the rear pump casing and install the packing box inside the rear pump casing. Install the key, "O" ring, and secondary impeller (or impeller retaining ring) on the shaft. Install the rear guard plate onto the rear pump casing and tighten the impeller onto the shaft. Then, fit the "O" ring and vortex shell onto the rear guard plate, and fit the "O" ring onto the front guard plate and vortex shell. Finally, assemble the front pump casing with the pump casing and tighten the bolts.

5、 Maintenance of flue gas desulfurization pump

1. Shaft seal part: The packing shaft seal pump needs to regularly check the sealing water pressure and water volume, always maintain a small amount of clean water flowing along the shaft, adjust the packing gland regularly, check and replace the packing regularly, and the shaft seal water pressure and water volume should meet the requirements of the shaft seal inspection.
2. Impeller section: In order to operate the pump, it is necessary to adjust the clearance between the impeller and the front guard plate in a timely manner. When adjusting the clearance between the impeller, the pump should be stopped first, the bolts that press the bearing box should be loosened, and the adjustment nut should be loosened to move the bearing assembly forward. At the same time, rotate the shaft by hand in the direction of the pump's rotation until the impeller rubs against the front guard plate.
After the overall adjustment of the desulfurization pump, before starting again, it is necessary to recheck whether the impeller rotation is normal and whether the bearing component clamping bolts are tightened. After confirming that there are no errors, start the pump again.
3. Bearings require lubrication: If the bearing components are assembled correctly, lubricated with appropriate amount of oil, and repaired in a timely manner, the transportation life will be longer. Therefore, maintenance personnel should regularly inspect the bearing components, check the condition of the bearings and lubricating oil, and regularly add or replace lubricating oil during operation, adding lubricating oil reasonably and timely.
4. The selected backup pump should rotate the shaft 1/4 turn per week to evenly distribute static loads and external vibrations to the bearings.
