By the end of 2023, Baoji Avenue has completed two sets of automobile fuel tank production lines, including one fourth generation blow molding machine. The most obvious difference is that one of them is equipped with both AWDS and PWDS wall thickness control systems. Of course, the productivity of these two machines has greatly improved compared to the previous three generations of equipment.
PWDS itself is a radial (circumferential) die with adjustable wall thickness.
Different fuel tank products will naturally have differences in the diameter size of the mouth core mold. For example, the diameter size of the P206 mouth core mold is 260mm. If a PWDS for P206 fuel tanks is made, the outlet diameter of the PWDS will be 260mm. However, some products may require a smaller or larger mouth core mold diameter size than P206, so this set of P206 PWDS cannot be used and a corresponding diameter PWDS needs to be made.
So if the quantity is large, PWDS can be used, but if the quantity is small, it is a waste (at least the cost-effectiveness is not high).
The locking force of the car fuel tank blow molding machine is 1000KN, but it can also be expanded to 1200KN if needed. However, it is not recommended to exceed 1200KN, as a locking force of 900KN-1200KN is sufficient and reasonable for producing automotive fuel tanks. Moreover, the greater the clamping force, the better. Especially, the greater the clamping force, the more severe the wear and tear on the equipment. If it exceeds a reasonable range, it may even cause a series of problems, such as component deformation and rod fracture.
