I. Overview

The mining proximity switch is of intrinsic safety structure, internally sealed, with an IP57 rating. The switch adopts the principle of magnetic induction, which is collision free and has strong capabilities. It is widely used in places with sexual hazards such as coal mines, chemicals, and petroleum, and is a sensor in modern automatic control systems.

The mining proximity switch is mainly used for detecting the position of moving objects, and this switch belongs to the memory type proximity switch. When the magnet passes through the mining proximity switch from one direction, the output contact closes and remains, and when it passes through the proximity switch again from another direction, the output contact opens and remains.

1. Technical indicators

(1) The output signal of the proximity switch: when the contact is conductive, the voltage drop should not exceed 0.5V (with a current of 1A injected); when the contact is disconnected, the output resistance should not be less than 100K Ω (for example, applying a voltage of 12V DC);

(2) Contact form: normally open, normally closed, normally open+normally closed;

(3) Action point distance: not less than 120mm;

2. Environmental conditions for use

3、 Structural features and working principle

The mining proximity switch is equipped with a reed switch and a piece of magnetic steel, which have melting point and wear resistance characteristics. Sealing the reed switch and magnetic steel inside the shell can effectively prevent impact and has strong capabilities. The magnetism of the small magnetic steel is not sufficient to attract the spring pieces inside the reed switch, and the switch remains in a normally open state. When the magnet approaches the switch from far to near in one direction, the spring contacts inside the reed switch are attracted. When the magnet leaves, the state of the reed switch is maintained because the magnet inside the switch is magnetized at the same time. When the magnetic steel approaches the switch again from the opposite direction, it is magnetized in the opposite direction, causing a decrease in magnetism and causing the reed switch spring to bounce open due to elasticity, and the contact is also disconnected. The KMW120G mining proximity switch is used in conjunction with KGY58 magnetic steel, which is directly installed on the detected moving object. When the magnetic steel passes back and forth through the switch, it drives the switch to work. Several detection point switches on the same motion trajectory only require one magnetic steel.
