Working principle of 304 stainless steel wind knife

After the compressed air enters the air knife, it is blown out at high speed with a thin airflow sheet with a thickness of only 0.05 millimeters on one side. Through the principle of the Coanda effect and the special geometric shape of the wind blade, this thin film wind curtain can withstand 30-40 times the ambient air, forming a thin, high-intensity, and high airflow impact wind curtain. Wind knives are divided into two types based on their working modes: standard wind knives and super wind knives. The wind curtain of the standard wind knife deflects 90 degrees and blows out, while the wind curtain of the super wind knife blows out horizontally.

The standard air knife has an air magnification of 30 times. The compressed air consumption at 80 PSIG is 3.4 SCFM per inch. The advantage of a standard air knife is its lower price. Compared to the super air knife, the standard air knife has a slightly higher noise level and requires more compressed air.
The super air knife has an air magnification of 40 times and a compressed air consumption of 2.9 SCFM per inch at 80 PSIG. The advantage of a super air knife is that it has lower noise levels and lower compressed air consumption under the same compressed air pressure.
Standard air knife
(A) Compressed air flows into and fills the entire air knife chamber from the rear (or end) air inlet.
(B) The compressed airflow leaves the air knife, and due to the Coanda effect, the surrounding air is brought in, amplifying the airflow by 30 times.
