TBPS01 near-field probe DC-6GHz

TH20, H10, H5, and E5 are magnetic field (H) and electric field (E) probes used for radiation emission EMC pre consistency measurement. The probe is used for the near-field of electromagnetic radiation sources.

They are used to locate and identify potential sources of interference in the building blocks of electronic components. These probes function similarly to broadband antennas, used to pick up radiation from components, PCB traces, housing openings or gaps, and any other components that may emit radio frequency. The probe is usually connected to a spectrum analyzer. Scanning probes on the surface of PCB components or shells can quickly determine the location where electromagnetic radiation is emitted. By replacing the probe with a smaller size, the range of the emission source can be further reduced.

Other applications involve conducting RF immunity testing by feeding RF signals into probes and radiating them into potentially sensitive circuit sections. Additionally, probes can be used in maintenance or debugging fields to track issues in the RF signal chain and signal levels by reducing contact based RF measurements. Another application is non-contact measurement of RF components such as modulators or oscillators. It can be combined with a low-noise preamplifier to measure frequency, phase noise, and spectral components.
