The standard freeness tester is widely used in the inspection of the pulping process in the papermaking industry, the development of papermaking processes, and various papermaking experiments in research institutes. This instrument provides a test value suitable for controlling the production of ground wood pulp; It can also be widely applied to the changes in water filtration properties of various chemical slurries during the beating and refining processes; It reflects the surface condition and swelling of the fibers.
The Canadian standard freeness refers to the water filtration performance of a 1000mL slurry water suspension with a content of (0.3 ± 0.0005)% and a temperature of 20 ° C, measured using a Canadian freeness tester under specified conditions. The CFS value is expressed as the volume of water flowing out of the side tube of the instrument (mL).
