895 Professional TypePVC thermal stability testerUsed in conjunction with StabNet software, it is an analysis system that can automatically determine the thermal stability of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and other chlorine containing polymer materials.
StabNet software controls the operation of the measuring instrument. On the body of the instrument, each measurement position has its own independent start button. In addition, the color LCD screen on the instrument displays the status of each measurement position. Disposable reaction tubes can greatly reduce the cleaning workload of experiments, thereby saving time and costs.

Thermal stability of 895 polyvinyl chloride and other chlorine containing polymer materials (removal method)
Plastic products made from polyvinyl chloride decompose and release gaseous HCl at the measured temperature. When determining the thermal stability of PVC according to DIN 53381 Part 1 or ISO 182 Part 3, the HCl released by the plastic product is transferred to a measuring cell containing deionized water by flowing nitrogen gas, causing a change in the conductivity of the solution in the measuring cell.
The thermal stability of PVC materials is defined by measuring the time it takes to produce HCl. Generally speaking, the time required for the change in conductivity of the measuring cell to reach 50 μ s/cm is called the stabilization time.
This method can be used to determine the thermal stability of PVC throughout the entire processing stage, as well as to evaluate the performance of its stabilizers.
