Soft rope assisted robotic arm

A soft cable pneumatic assisted robotic arm is a system composed of a main unit and a fixture connected by a steel wire rope, a pneumatic balance crane as the system main unit, and a grasping fixture, a flat track sliding system, or corresponding foundation to form the system. Therefore, it is called a soft cable assisted robotic arm.

This robotic arm is similar in function to a pneumatic balance crane, with a full stroke "floating" function, but the lifting displacement is smaller than that of a pneumatic balance crane, only 1800mm, and the large load is only 100kg. Due to the double joint robotic arm of the soft cable assisted robotic arm to achieve horizontal displacement, the working radius can reach 2500mm, so it has more flexible operation and faster speed than a pneumatic balance crane.

Soft cable assisted robotic arms are suitable for situations where the workpiece is lightweight but the handling pace is very fast. However, like pneumatic balance cranes, since the soft rope assisted robotic arm uses a steel wire rope for lifting, the center of gravity of the workpiece must be located directly below the steel wire rope. Equipped with a gas storage tank, it can continue to be used for one cycle in the event of a gas outage, while also alerting the operator with an alarm. Combined with various non-standard fixtures, the soft cable assisted robotic arm can lift workpieces of various shapes.

Soft cable robotic arms have the characteristics of easy operation, flexible expansion, economical system configuration, safety and efficiency. Widely used in modern industry for material transfer, high-frequency handling, precise positioning, component assembly, and other applications. The installation form can be fixed to the ground or ceiling for hanging and fixed use, and cannot use guide rail type.
