Overview
The petroleum electric demulsifier mainly uses electric demulsification technology for oil-water separation. The water in crude oil is usually suspended in the form of tiny water droplets in the oil, forming a stable emulsion. The instrument polarizes water droplets and generates internal frictional heat by applying non-uniform high-frequency pulsed strong electric fields, continuously overcoming the strength of the emulsion film. Water droplets gradually gather under the action of an electric field to form large droplets, accelerate sedimentation, and ultimately achieve oil-water separation. This method has the advantages of being fast, accurate, and free of secondary sampling errors, and is widely used in petroleum extraction and laboratory analysis.

Dehydration steps

Pour the processed oil sample into a dehydration glass graduated cylinder, then insert the "heating dehydration internal electrode" into the dehydration glass graduated cylinder oil sample, turn on the "dehydration" and "heating" switches, and the heating and dehydration indicator lights will turn on, indicating that heating and dehydration are in progress. Slowly stir the oil sample with an internal electrode to facilitate uniform heating and rapid dehydration. Heat to an appropriate temperature so as not to cause the oil sample to boil violently and overflow. If the temperature is too high, immediately turn off the heating switch. When the free water settling no longer increases, turn off the "heating" and "dehydration" switches, and then remove the heating inner electrode.
