1、 Application and characteristics of tablet press
TDP-1.5The single stamping machine can press powdered raw materials into tablets and is widely used in pharmaceutical factories, chemical plants, hospitals, scientific research institutions, laboratory trial production, and small-scale production.
This machine has excellent performance, strong adaptability, convenient use, easy maintenance, small size, light weight, and can also be hand cranked when there is no power. This machine is equipped with only one punching die, and the filling depth and tablet thickness of the material can be adjusted. It can adapt to the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry for pressing various Chinese and Western medicine preparations, as well as the requirements of other industries for pressing various similar products. It is highly welcomed by users in various industries.
2、 Installation and wiring of tablet press
1The tablet press is installed on a sturdy wooden workbench (or can also be installed on a cement platform) and fixed with three sets of M12 foot screws. The height from the workbench to the ground is about 600 millimeters (by hand, easy to operate). For the convenience of disassembly and repair, there should also be a hole with a diameter of about 35 millimeters at the corresponding position of the punch rod on the wooden workbench.
2Before connecting the motor power supply, first connect the motor to the ground wire to ensure safety. Remove the V-belt, connect the motor power, start the motor and observe whether the motor rotation direction is correct (the rotation direction of the motor shaft should be opposite to the direction of the arrow on the protective cover or handwheel). If the rotation direction is incorrect, connect the wires separately and then reinstall the V-belt.
3、 Loading and unloading of stamping dies and adjustment during tablet pressing
1Installation of stamping dies
Installation of upper punch: Loosen the lower punch fixing screw, turn the handwheel to raise the lower punch core rod to the highest position, insert the lower punch rod into the hole of the lower punch core rod (pay attention to aligning the notch slope of the lower punch rod with the lower punch fastening screw and inserting it to the bottom), and then tighten the lower punch fixing screw.
Installation of punch: Loosen the upper punch fastening nut, insert the upper punch core rod into the hole of the upper punch core rod, insert it to the bottom, use a wrench to clamp the hexagonal lower part of the upper punch core rod, and tighten the upper punch fastening nut.
Install the middle mold: Loosen the fixing screws of the middle mold, flatten the middle mold and place it into the hole of the middle mold platform. At the same time, punch it down into the hole of the middle mold, press it to the bottom, and then tighten the fixing screws of the middle mold. When placing the middle mold, it is important to keep it flat to avoid getting stuck when tilted and damaging the hole wall.
Rotate the handwheel by hand to slowly lower the punch into the middle mold hole, and observe for any collision or friction. If collision or friction occurs, loosen the fixing screws (two) of the middle mold plate and adjust the position of the middle mold plate to allow the punch to enter
In the middle mold hole, tighten the fixing screws of the middle mold plate and adjust until there is no collision or friction when the upper punch enters the middle mold, which is considered as qualified installation.
2Adjustment of Film Production
Rotate the handwheel to raise the lower punch to the highest position, and observe whether the lower punch surface is aligned with the middle mold plane (whether it is high or low will affect the chip output). If it is not aligned, loosen the butterfly screw, loosen the gear pressure plate to transfer the upper adjustment gear, so that the lower punch surface is aligned with the middle mold plane, and then continue to press the pressure plate and tighten the butterfly screw.
At this point, shake the handwheel with your hand and run the empty car for more than ten revolutions. If the machine is running normally, you can add materials for pressure testing and proceed to the next step of adjustment.
3Adjustment of filling depth (i.e. adjustment of tablet weight)
Loosen the butterfly screw and loosen the gear pressure plate. Rotate the lower adjustment gear to the left to raise the lower punch rod, which reduces the filling depth (reduces the weight of the tablets). After adjustment, still press the gear teeth pressing plate and tighten the butterfly screw.
4Adjustment of pressure (i.e. adjustment of tablet hardness)
Loosen the connecting rod locking nut, rotate the upper punch rod, and turn it to the left to move the upper punch rod downwards. This will increase the pressure and hardness of the pressed pills; On the contrary, turning right will reduce pressure and lower the hardness of the pill. After adjustment, use a wrench to hold the lower hexagonal part of the punch rod, while still locking the connecting rod locking nut.
At this point, the adjustment of the punching die is basically completed. Then start the motor to test more than ten pieces, check the weight, hardness, and surface smoothness of the pieces. If they are qualified, they can be put into production. During the production process, it is still necessary to check the quality of the pills at any time and make timely adjustments.
5Dismantling of stamping dies
Disassemble the upper punch: Loosen the upper punch fastening nut to pull out the upper punch rod. If the fit is tight, use pliers to clamp the upper punch rod and pull it out, but be careful not to damage the punch edge.
Dismantling the middle mold: Loosen the fixing screws of the middle mold, unscrew the downward punch fixing screws, loosen the butterfly screws, and loosen the gear pressure plate. Adjust the gear to raise the lower punch rod by ten millimeters, gently rotate the handwheel to push out a part of the middle mold with the lower punch rod, and remove the middle mold by hand. If the middle mold fits tightly in the hole, do not forcefully rotate the handwheel hard to avoid damaging the parts. At this point, it is necessary to remove the middle mold plate and then take out the middle mold.
Disassemble the punch: First, unscrew the fixing screw of the punch, then turn the handwheel to raise the punch core rod to the highest position, and you can use your hand to pull out the upper punch rod. If the fit is tight, it can be clamped with pliers (be careful not to damage the edge of the punch).
After disassembling the die, it is necessary to rotate the adjustment gear to retract the lower punch rod by about 10 millimeters. When turning the handwheel to raise the lower punch rod to the highest position, its top should not be higher than the bottom surface of the middle die table (this step should not be ignored to avoid accidents where the lower punch rod collides with the middle die when used again). After Zui, still tighten the downward fixing screw.
4、 Dismantling and installation of main components of tablet press
1Dismantling of the middle mold plate: Remove the powder baffle, remove the hopper, unscrew the feeder fastening screw, unscrew the feeder fixing screw and spring, remove the feeder, unscrew the middle mold plate fixing screw and spring washer, and then remove the middle mold plate. Installation: Follow the reverse order mentioned above. Be careful to align when tightening the feeder fastening screws. To avoid damaging the wire holes of the feeder.
2Dismantling of the upper punch rod: Loosen the locking nut of the connecting rod, rotate the upper punch rod to disengage from the connecting rod, turn the handwheel to raise the eccentric wheel housing to the highest position, and rotate the eccentric coupling housing to swing the connecting rod to the front upper position. Then, the upper punch rod can be extracted from above the mold frame hole. Install in the reverse order of the above.
3Dismantling of the lower punch core rod: Unscrew the lower punch fixing screw, butterfly screw, and gear pressure plate to rotate and adjust the gear, so that the lower punch core rod can be lowered and removed from the bottom hole of the machine body. Installation: Follow the reverse order mentioned above.
4Dismantling of connecting rod: First remove the upper punch rod, then remove the steel wire retaining ring on the connecting rod pin, and take out the connecting rod pin to remove the connecting rod. Installation: Follow the reverse order of the above.
5Dismantling of the large pulley, small gear, and bridge shaft: press down on the V-belt, unscrew the right end nut and washer of the bridge shaft (inside the machine body), hold the large pulley, small gear, and bridge shaft firmly by hand, and then extract the bridge shaft from the wheel hole. The large pulley, small gear, and shaft sleeve are integrated and generally do not need to be disassembled. Installation: Follow the reverse order mentioned above.
6Spindle disassembly: Two people should be responsible for disassembling the spindle. First, remove the large pulley, then unscrew the nut to remove the lever and lever
Shaft and filling roller. (If necessary, remove the handwheel and charging cam) Remove the protective cover, unscrew the screws and washers, and use a wooden hammer to strike the non working surface on the inside of the large gear (not heavy). Remove it (be careful not to lose the lifting roller), then use a wooden hammer and copper rod to strike the shaft end (be careful not to damage the screw hole on the shaft end), while holding the other end of the shaft firmly and supporting the eccentric wheel housing, slowly remove the main shaft. Installation: Follow the reverse order mentioned above.
5、 Lubrication and maintenance of tablet press
1Lubrication of the friction surfaces of various moving parts is an important part of ensuring the normal operation and extending the service life of the machine, especially if the main moving parts are quickly damaged due to lack of oil during dry transfer and cannot be used. Therefore, before using the tablet press, all oil cups, oil holes, and friction surfaces must be lubricated, and the machine must be run empty to cover all friction surfaces with oil film before being put into use. From now on, refuel on time for each shift, but do not refuel too much each time to avoid spillage, affecting cleanliness, and contaminating pills. The refueling locations and refueling frequency are shown in the following table:
2Before each shift, it is necessary to check whether all screws are loose. During the work process, regular attention should also be paid to checking. If there is any looseness, it should be tightened immediately to avoid malfunctions. 4During the tablet pressing process, it is necessary to regularly check the quality of the die. If any missing edges, cracks, or serious damage are found, they should be replaced in a timely manner to avoid machine damage and affect tablet quality.
5After daily use, the remaining powder particles should be taken out and wiped clean all parts of the machine. If the downtime is long, the die must be removed and the machine's friction surfaces must be adjusted. Clean the work surface, apply rust proof oil, and cover it with dust-proof clothing; The die should be wiped clean and then immersed in oil for storage.
6Regularly inspect the components twice a month.
6、 Precautions for using tablet press
1Before the first use, carefully read the instruction manual by comparing it with the actual machine before use.
2This machine can only operate in a certain direction (as indicated by the arrow on the handwheel or protective cover), and cannot be reversed to avoid damaging the components. Special attention should be paid when adjusting the tablet press, and do not neglect it.
3Belt tension adjustment: Adjust through two adjustment nuts on the electromechanical base plate. Pay attention to locking after adjustment.
4When using a hand cranked tablet without power, the V-belt should be removed to reduce resistance and wear. But do not remove the large pulley as well, as it also serves as a flywheel to save effort.
5When electric tablet pressing, the rotating handle on the handwheel must be turned down to avoid injury during operation.
6Regardless of manual or electric tablet pressing, the upper punch rod should be in the raised position before starting. if in
When the upper punch plate is started in the lowered position, it enters the middle mold plate just as it starts. At this time, due to the machine's speed not yet rising and the inertia is small, it is easy to cause the top of the car. After the upper punch enters the middle mold, it "freezes" due to the resistance of the pills, causing the machine to stop running. During the topping process, due to the high load, the machine is often damaged or the motor is burned out.
7Handling methods after topping up the vehicle
When there is a situation of top loading during electric tablet pressing, the power should be immediately turned off to avoid burning the motor.
When the situation of the top car is relatively light, the hand wheel can be turned by hand to make the upward punch pass through the "dead point" (but it cannot be reversed to avoid repeated feeding of the feeder, which may cause more serious top car).
When driving severely, loosen the connecting rod lock nut, turn the upper punch rod to raise it to reduce pressure, and then turn the handwheel to push the pill out. Then readjust the hardness of the pills.
8During the tablet pressing process, it is necessary to regularly check the quality of the tablets (tablet weight, hardness, surface smoothness, etc.) and adjust them in a timely manner
9The granulation process of ingredients before tablet pressing has a significant impact on tablet pressing. The formulation and granulation of auxiliary materials such as medicinal materials, sliding materials, fillers, binders, etc. (including the condition of the powder, the tightness of the particles, the proportion of the powder particles, the water content, etc.) directly affect the tablet
Quantity. And often due to improper granulation of ingredients, it cannot be formed into tablets, and even damages the machine. Therefore, this machine cannot be used to compress semi-solid, moist, or particle free ultra-fine powders into tablets. If it is found during use that the pressure has been adjusted to a considerable level but still cannot be pressed into pieces, or if it is pressed into pieces but appears too loose, layered, fragmented, pitted, or powdery. We should identify the reasons and solve them from aspects such as ingredients. Do not blindly adjust and increase pressure, which may damage the machine. In addition, some medicinal materials may not produce tablets with high hardness, but they have a certain degree of toughness and are not prone to breakage when dropped from a height of 1-1.2 meters. Therefore, it is important to meet the requirements of transportation and storage, rather than solely focusing on hardness, in order to avoid excessive compression pressure and damage to the machine.
