The 2025 (2nd) Chengdu Chongqing Economic Circle Rubber and Plastic Industry Development Conference was successfully held

On December 25, 2025, the "2025 (2nd) Chengdu Chongqing Economic Circle Rubber and Plastic Industry Development Conference" was successfully held in Chongqing, sponsored by the China Plastics Processing Industry Association and jointly organized by the Chongqing Plastics Industry Association, the School of Polymer Science and Engineering of Sichuan University, and the Polymer Research Institute of Sichuan University, with the theme of "Two Cities for the Future Development of Sichuan Chongqing Plastics".

In his speech and themed report "Analysis of the Development Status of China's Plastic Industry and the Situation of Sichuan Chongqing Plastic Industry", Chairman Wang Zhanjie of the China Plastics Association pointed out that the current global industrial pattern is deeply adjusted, and the Chinese plastic industry is facing challenges such as insufficient effective market demand, arduous sustainable development tasks, and increasing international trade barriers. At the same time, with the implementation of the "15th Five Year Plan" and the promotion of technological upgrading, the continuous release of policy dividends, the construction of a modern industrial system, the cultivation of new quality productivity and other deployments, strong demand for industrial upgrading, broad space for green development, stable industrial foundation advantages, huge domestic demand market, and continuously enhanced innovation capabilities, opportunities will still promote the continuous development of the industry. In the face of new situations and tasks, the entire industry chain should have firm confidence, focus on top-level design, strengthen technological innovation, practice the concept of green development, deepen international exchanges and cooperation, enhance industrial competitiveness, assist in the construction of the Chengdu Chongqing economic circle, and promote the development of industries towards the "six modernizations" direction of "functionalization, high-end, integration, greening, intelligence, and internationalization".
