What are the precautions for operating an injection molding machine

1、 Preparation before startup
1. Purpose:
Ensure that the machine can operate normally after startup to avoid accidents
2. Steps and methods
1) The operator first checks the machine to ensure that the area around the machine is clean and free of foreign objects blocking the machine and workstation.
2) Whether the electrical equipment is clean and whether there is leakage in the insulation facilities. If there are any problems, they must be solved first.
3) Check if the lubrication system and cooling system are unobstructed and if there are any leaks.
4) Check whether the mechanical safety device is malfunctioning, whether the fastening screws of the safety device are loose, whether the fastening nuts of the mold are loose, whether the parameter settings for unlocking the mold on the display screen are abnormal, and whether the selected automatic and semi-automatic modes are normal.
If all the above are normal, start the motor, open the front and rear safety doors separately, manually operate the machine, and check for any locking action. If there is any abnormality, it must be repaired and the fault must be eliminated first.
2、 Start up trial operation
1. Purpose:
Check if the machine is functioning properly.
2. Steps and methods
1) Turn on the power and start the motor
During formal operation, the operator should also pay attention to whether the sound of the oil pump motor is normal, whether there is noise, and whether there are other abnormal sounds from the moving parts of the machine (such as the twisting hand, bending hand, cross head, etc.) and during mold opening and locking.
If the machine and mold are operating normally, they can be officially started.
Notes:
1. Before starting up, various inspections of the injection molding machine and auxiliary equipment must be carried out to ensure that the equipment is in normal condition (according to the requirements of L1 equipment operation records). If any problems are found, maintenance personnel should be notified in a timely manner.
2. Turn on the power supply of the injection molding machine, the power supply of the mold temperature machine, the general mold temperature is set to 80 ℃, the power supply of the dryer (raw materials need to be dried at 80 ℃ for 4 hours), the power supply of the chiller, the exhaust fan, etc., and turn on the oil pump, motor, and screw of the injection molding machine to start heating up.
3. Wipe the oil stains on the parting surface, guide post, guide sleeve, slider, cavity, and inclined guide post of the mold with oil wiping paper, and apply lubricating grease to the surfaces of the guide post, guide sleeve, slider, and inclined guide post to prevent wear and tear of the mold during long-term operation.
4. Confirm the condition of the mold, check for any damage, ensure that the oil circuit is unobstructed, ensure that all pipeline connections are properly connected, and check for any oil leakage.
5. Start discharging when all temperatures meet the requirements. Open the discharge port baffle, press the automatic cleaning button on the injection molding machine operation panel, and clean the material 2-3 times. After cleaning, clean the remaining material from the nozzle and mold nozzle.
6. Before starting production, first make 2-3 molds with terminals, and then lay the wire spool for production. After 5-10 days of production, conduct the first inspection according to the QI standard.
7. Do not touch the mold with hard metal objects to prevent damage to the touch tool.
8. Gloves should be worn during production to prevent soup damage.
9. When the equipment is operating normally, do not touch the active position of the equipment at will to avoid danger.
10. Operators are not allowed to arbitrarily change the injection molding process parameters while operating the equipment. Any quality issues with the product should be reported to the team leader in a timely manner.
11. If the machine is stopped for more than ten minutes, the material in the material cylinder must be emptied and the screw must be placed in an insulated state.
12. During the production process, leakage and stacking of materials are prone to occur at the nozzle and exhaust hole above the nozzle. It is important to observe regularly and clean up in a timely manner.
13. During the operation, always pay attention to changes in temperature and pressure. If any abnormal situation is found, the machine should be shut down, the power should be turned off, and the mechanic should repair it. After recovery, it can be used again.
14. If there are any doubts or discrepancies between the product and the sample during self inspection, production should be suspended and the inspector or team leader should be promptly reported.
15. During the production process, it is necessary to regularly check the amount of plastic raw materials in the dryer drum. If it is less than 1/2, add materials in a timely manner. Before adding materials, check for foreign objects and impurities in the raw materials.
16. When shutting down, close the discharge port baffle, empty the material in the barrel, and turn off the power supply of the barrel heating injection molding machine motor, mold temperature machine, dryer (as needed), injection molding machine exhaust fan, etc.
17. At the end of production, clean the surrounding and internal material heads of the equipment.
18. Avoid hitting the fixed mold with the shooting table when the mold is opened to prevent the fixed mold from falling off.
19. Do not dismantle, modify, or tie up any safety protection devices at will.
20. Maintenance personnel are not allowed to leave their posts while repairing the machine.
