The maintenance and upkeep of multi material precision injection molding machines should start fromDaily inspection, regular maintenance, special maintenance, environmental management, operating standards, spare parts managementSix aspects of systematic development are as follows:
1、 Daily inspection
-
Pre-start inspection:
- Check whether the mold installation is stable, and whether the screws in various parts such as core pulling, oil cylinder, pressure plate, and joints are loose or missing.
- Check if all core pulling wires, travel switches, micro switches, position gauges, emergency stop buttons, etc. are working properly.
- Check if the machine oil level is above the centerline, if the oil quality is good, and if the oil temperature is normal (preferably between 30-45 ℃, usable between 5-55 ℃).
- Check whether there are leaks or blockages in the oil cylinders, oil pipes, and action seal connections of each waterway and oil circuit.
- Check whether there is sufficient lubricating oil in each lubrication point, oil pipe, and centralized lubrication box, and whether they can lubricate normally, and whether there are any fractures or blockages in various places.
- Check whether there is any odor or abnormal noise inside the distribution box, and whether the components and wires are overheated, charred, detached, or have dust and foreign objects.
- Check whether the ventilation and filtration devices inside the distribution box are working properly and whether they can ensure good heat dissipation.
- Check whether there are any abnormal noises, overheating, or other phenomena in the operation of various parts (such as the main motor, demolding motor, oil motor, oil pump, oil cylinder, and various mechanical transmission parts), to ensure good lubrication and heat dissipation.
- Check whether the pressure, speed, position, and time of each part's action (switch mold, core pulling, top advancing and retreating, seat advancing and retreating, injection, pre molding, glue pulling, mold adjustment, etc.) are reasonable, whether the action is smooth, whether there is severe collision, and whether the work is reliable and normal.
- Check whether each safety protection device operates reliably and is functioning properly (the mechanical safety lever must be adjusted after each mold change).
- Check if the thermocouple and heating coil are working properly.
- Check if there is any displacement phenomenon on each machine.
-
Observation during operation:
- Observe whether the machine runs smoothly and whether there are any abnormal vibrations or noises.
- Observe whether the parameters such as oil temperature and pressure are within the normal range.
- Observe whether the movements of each part are coordinated and consistent, and whether there is any jamming or delay.
2、 Regular maintenance
-
Weekly maintenance:
- Clean up the oil and water stains on the distribution box and machine once.
- Organize or replace cooling water pipes, core pulling wires, oil pipes, etc.
- Clean and organize the workshop tools, material racks, mold area, and all machines.
- Check if the feeding hopper has a magnetic frame (return material) and a filter screen (powder material).
- Check if the proximity switch and travel switch positions are loose.
- Check for oil leakage in all parts of the body and lock any loose mechanical components.
- Check if the pressure oil capacity in the fuel tank is sufficient.
- Check if all safety devices are functioning properly.
-
Monthly maintenance:
- Check and clean various filtering devices such as oil filters, bypass filters, oil suction filters, ventilation filters, and filter screens.
- Check if all electrical components such as AC contactors are functioning properly, if there is any odor, and if there is any vibration during operation.
- Drain oil and water under the switch module chassis to prevent spillage.
- Check if the wiring of electrical components is loose.
- Check if the pressure oil is contaminated, clean or replace the oil screen inside the tank.
- Add lubricating grease to the mold adjusting screw.
- Check the linear ratio of the electronic board and adjust it again if necessary.
- Check if the parallelism of the template and its perpendicularity to the Corinthian column exceed the standard.
-
Quarterly maintenance:
- Check whether the voltage of the power supply is too low or too high in various places. Is the power cord damaged, is the grounding intact, and are all connectors loose.
- Check if the working pressure of the hydraulic system is too low or too high.
- Check if there is any oil leakage in all parts of the machine.
-
Annual maintenance:
- Check whether the wiring and components of each part are aging, and whether the insulation is good.
- Check whether the seals, high and low pressure oil pipes, etc. are aging and worn, and replace them at any time.
- Clean all parts of the solenoid valves with kerosene or diesel to ensure the normal operation of the machine.
- Check the mechanical levelness, parallelism of the four Corinthian columns, and tightness of the bottom sliding feet, and make adjustments accordingly.
- Check for any abnormalities in the operation of the main motor, oil pump, and oil motor.
- Check if the pressure oil needs to be replaced.
3、 Special maintenance
-
Hydraulic system maintenance:
- Regularly clean the oil cooler, at least once every three months.
- Regularly filter or replace the pressure oil, and clean the inlet oil mesh and the inside of the oil tank.
- Regularly inspect all pipeline joints and hydraulic components for oil leakage, and regularly check whether the fixing screws are loose.
- Avoid stacking heavy objects on hydraulic components or trampling on them.
- Ensure that the interior of the fuel tank is clean and do not open the fuel filling port of the tank at will.
- Check the temperature value of the circulating oil at any time. When the temperature is too high, it indicates that the circulating oil is overheated and it is recommended to stop the machine for inspection.
-
Electrical maintenance:
- Avoid using air compressors to blow electrical components directly, and use high insulation cleaning sprays.
- Regularly check and tighten the wiring of each terminal.
- External wiring should avoid collisions and friction with objects.
- Regularly check the wear of the pulleys on each limiter and whether the fixed connectors are loose.
- Regularly check whether the contacts of each electromagnetic contactor are severely corroded.
- Keep the inside of the electrical box dry, avoid stacking items at the ventilation openings of the electrical box, and avoid directly hitting or trampling on the electrical box and computer parts with objects.
-
Mechanical maintenance:
- Keep the mechanical surface clean, including the surface of the shooting table and the two guide rods, to avoid the accumulation of dirt.
- The two guide rods of the shooting platform must be regularly lubricated to ensure smooth mechanical operation and avoid wear and tear. The bearing assembly of the melt adhesive motor must be regularly lubricated with grease.
- Do not put anything other than plastics, pigments, and additives into the hopper. If a large amount of crushed secondary materials are used, a hopper magnet needs to be added to prevent metal fragments from entering the melt glue cylinder and damaging the melt glue screw and melt glue cylinder.
- Do not start the hydraulic motor to melt, spray or loosen the adhesive before it reaches the pre adjusted temperature, otherwise it may cause damage to the screw and adhesive head kit.
- When the machine is shut down for a long time, the plastic inside the glue cylinder should be cleaned properly first to prevent the plastic with high heat sensitivity from turning into carbides, and the injection screw should be firmly adhered and unable to rotate. When using highly corrosive raw materials, special attention should be paid to this, as this type of plastic can easily damage the inside of the material tube and the nitride layer on the surface of the injection screw if it stagnates inside the material tube.
- Regularly inspect all parts of the injection platform, lock and loosen the parts, and ensure that the two injection oil cylinders are installed in a balanced manner to prevent oil leakage caused by damage to the cylinder oil seal and wear on the cylinder piston rod.
- The electric heating element near the nozzle must not be wrapped in plastic, as the electric heating element is easily damaged due to poor heat dissipation caused by plastic wrapping.
4、 Environmental management
-
Keep the environment clean:
- Regularly clean the workshop environment to keep the floor and equipment surfaces clean and dust-free.
- Avoid using injection molding machines in damp, dusty, high-temperature, or corrosive environments.
-
Control environmental temperature and humidity:
- Use air conditioning or dehumidifiers to control the temperature and humidity in the workshop, ensuring that the equipment operates in a suitable environment.
