What are the common faults of dehumidifier dryer
Date: 2025-10-23Read: 55
Dehumidification dryers may experience various malfunctions during use, mainly including system failures, operational failures, sensor failures, poor dehumidification effects, as well as noise and water leakage issues. The following are specific explanations:
  1. System failure

    • Power on malfunctionIf the system detects a fault after power on, it will not be able to turn on and display the corresponding fault code. The cause of the malfunction needs to be investigated and eliminated before the system can be started.
    • Reverse phase faultWhen the reverse phase of the power supply is detected, the system stops all outputs and alarms. Check the power wiring to ensure correct phase sequence.
  2. operational failure

    • Fan overloadWhen the fan is overloaded, the fault indicator light will turn on, the system will shut down the heating and fan, and an alarm will sound. Check if the fan is stuck or overloaded.
    • Overheating/overtemperature faultWhen the internal temperature sensing line detects overheating or overheating, the system shuts off the heating, the fan can work normally, and an alarm is triggered. Need to check the heat dissipation conditions or adjust the temperature setting.
    • Broken temperature sensing wireWhen the temperature sensing wire breaks, the system will turn off the heating and sound an alarm. Check the temperature sensing wire connection or replace the temperature sensing wire.
  3. Sensor malfunction

    • Temperature sensor malfunction (E1)When the temperature sensor is damaged or damp, it needs to be replaced.
    • Humidity sensor malfunction (E2)When the humidity sensor is damaged or damp, it needs to be replaced.
    • Environmental temperature/humidity restrictions
      • When the temperature is too low (CL code,<5 ℃) or too high (CH code,>38 ℃), the dehumidifier may not work.
      • When the humidity is too low (LO code,<35% RH), the dehumidifier may not work; When the humidity is too high (HI code,>95% RH), the dehumidifier operates normally.
  4. Poor dehumidification effect

    • Ventilation system malfunction
      • Damaged or aged air intake/exhaust grilles result in obstructed air intake/exhaust.
      • The air filter is blocked or damaged by dust.
      • Dust accumulation or surface icing on the fins of the evaporator condenser.
    • Electrical system malfunction
      • Electrical components such as fan motors, capacitors, and starters malfunction, causing the compressor or fan to malfunction.
    • Refrigeration system malfunction
      • Refrigerant leakage, blockage of the refrigeration system, or no displacement of the compressor result in the inability to cool properly.
    • Set the humidity to be similar to the ambient humidityWhen the set humidity is within ± 5% of the ambient humidity, the compressor may not work, resulting in no dehumidification effect.
    • Unreasonable placementThe dehumidifier is placed close to a wall or other object, causing poor air intake and exhaust.
  5. Noise and water leakage issues

    • Excessive noise
      • The working noise of the compressor is loud, or the dehumidifier is not placed smoothly, the parts are loose, the filter screen is blocked, etc.
    • water leakage
      • The placement of the dehumidifier is unbalanced, causing the sink to tilt, or the drainage holes/pipes to be blocked, or the sink to be damaged.
