1、 Choose the appropriate installation location
Stay away from vibration sources and strong magnetic field interference: The installation location should be away from vibration sources and strong magnetic fields to ensure stable transmission and accurate measurement of ultrasonic signals.
Easy to maintain and operate: Choose a location that is easy to access and operate for future maintenance and calibration.
Avoid refraction and reflection: Avoid installing ultrasonic level gauges in locations with refraction or reflection to reduce measurement errors.
2、 Ensure stable installation
Vertical installation: The transducer (probe) of the ultrasonic level gauge should be installed perpendicular to the surface of the measured medium to ensure its stability and prevent tilting and displacement.
Fixed method: Choose the appropriate fixed method according to the specific environment, such as bracket installation, flange fixation, etc. When fixing, ensure that the probe surface is level with the measured liquid level.
3、 Avoid obstacles
No obstacles within the beam range: There should be no obstacles in the area radiated by the emitted ultrasonic beam from the lower edge of the transducer to the surface of the measured medium. Therefore, during installation, it is advisable to avoid facilities inside the tank as much as possible, such as ladders, heating equipment, limit switch brackets, etc.
Avoid intersecting with the feeding material flow: The ultrasonic beam should not intersect with the feeding material flow to avoid affecting the measurement accuracy.
4、 Consider blind spot issues
Reserved blind spot margin: The size of the "blind spot" corresponding to different ranges of ultrasonic level gauges may also vary. When selecting and determining the range of the ultrasonic level gauge, reserve a size margin greater than or equal to the "blind spot". The difference between the height of the probe and the high liquid level height is greater than or equal to the size of the "blind spot".
Avoid entering blind spots: During installation, ensure that the distance between the high liquid level and the probe is greater than the blind spot to ensure measurement accuracy.

5、 Adapt to specific environments
Waterproof and dustproof: For installation in outdoor or humid environments, it should be ensured that the ultrasonic level gauge has good waterproof and dustproof performance, and appropriate protective measures should be taken, such as installing a sunshade (rain cover).
Explosion proof requirements: In places with explosion-proof requirements, ultrasonic level gauges shall comply with the installation regulations of national explosion-proof hazardous areas and ensure instrument grounding.
Temperature and pressure: The working performance of ultrasonic level gauges is affected by temperature and pressure, so it is necessary to confirm whether the instrument model meets the environmental requirements on site before installation.
6、 Other precautions
Calibration and Debugging: After installation, the ultrasonic level gauge needs to be calibrated and debugged to ensure its measurement accuracy.
Maintenance and upkeep: Regularly check the working status of the ultrasonic level gauge, promptly clean the dirt and attachments on the surface of the probe to ensure its normal operation.
