Overview

The BA series perforated AC current sensor products apply the principle of electromagnetic induction to measure the AC current in the power grid in real time. They use precision constant current technology and linear temperature compensation technology to isolate and transform it into a standard DC signal output. Powered by 24V or 12V safe voltage, it has the characteristics of strong overload capacity, high precision, high isolation, high safety, and low power consumption, and can be widely used in the field of industrial automation.

Product Details

What are the advantages of current sensors?

1. Electromagnetic compatibility

  • Weak anti-interference ability: In complex electromagnetic environments such as industrial sites, BA10-AI/I current sensors are susceptible to interference from surrounding electromagnetic fields, which can affect the accuracy and stability of measurement signals, resulting in output signal distortion or erroneous measurement results

  • External interference: This sensor may also generate certain electromagnetic interference to surrounding electronic devices during operation, affecting the normal operation of other devices, especially in some situations that require high electromagnetic compatibility, such as hospitals, communication base stations, etc., which may become a prominent problem.

2. Installation and wiring

  • Installation space requirements: Although there are two installation methods: rail installation and screw fixed installation, it may face installation difficulties in some electrical cabinets or equipment with limited space. Especially when multiple sensors need to be installed or laid out together with other electrical components, space congestion may occur, affecting heat dissipation and maintenance operations

  • Complex wiring: The wiring of sensors requires consideration of the connection of multiple lines such as power supply and input/output signals. In some large industrial sites or complex electrical systems, wiring work may be very cumbersome, increasing installation time and cost. Moreover, having too many lines can also increase the difficulty of troubleshooting.

    3. Accuracy and Error

  • Measurement error exists: Although the sensor has a certain degree of accuracy, there may still be measurement errors in actual complex working conditions. For example, when there is strong electromagnetic interference in the measurement environment, it may affect the measurement accuracy, resulting in a deviation between the measured value and the actual current value. For some application scenarios that require current measurement accuracy, such as high-precision power metering, scientific research experiments, etc., this error may affect the final analysis results and decisions

  • Long term stability deficiency: After prolonged use, the accuracy of the sensor may drift and requires regular calibration. This is a troublesome issue for continuous production processes or long-term monitoring systems that are difficult to calibrate with frequent shutdowns, increasing maintenance costs and workload.

1、 Overview

Perforated AC current sensorIt is a device for detecting AC current, which can sense the information of the measured AC current and convert the detected information into electrical signals or other required forms of information output according to certain rules, to meet the requirements of information transmission, processing, storage, display, recording, and control. It is the primary step in achieving automatic detection and control. Common AC current sensors include electromagnetic current transformers, Roche coils, variable frequency current sensors, Hall current sensors, etc.

The residual current sensor in the BA series is used for leakage monitoring, monitoring the insulation status of electrical circuits or equipment, and avoiding accidents caused by reduced insulation performance of electrical circuits or equipment.
