1. Preface
Before installing and using this vacuum pump, please read this manual carefully. |
Users must fully understand the requirements of this manual for using this product. If you have any questions, please contact the supplier for consultation. Please keep this manual properly at the equipment usage site.
2、 Product Introduction
This series of vacuum pumps is a basic type of vacuum acquisition equipment.
Adopting dual stage compression, two rotor structure, air-cooled type. Using specialized vacuum pump oil as the working fluid.

4、 Product application scope
This vacuum pump is used in the field of coarse to medium vacuum. Suitable for extracting air and dry gases, cannot extract corrosive, toxic, flammable and explosive gases, cannot extract solids or liquids.

Extracting gases with a density higher than atmospheric pressure (when the inlet pressure is higher than atmospheric pressure) can cause pump overload and damage to the pump. When there is a certain amount of water vapor in the extracted gas, it is recommended to open the gas damper, supplier.
5、 Transportation Packaging Storage
Please check the received pump for any damage caused by transportation before installation.
The inlet of the pump is sealed with a plastic plug to prevent foreign objects from entering the pump chamber during transportation.

Use the lifting screws (or handles) on the pump and a suitable lifting device to remove the pump from the packaging box.

Before long-term storage of vacuum pumps, the oil should be drained completely, and the suction and exhaust ports should be sealed with rubber plugs. They should be stored indoors in a dry and dust-free area, preferably in their original packaging condition. Packaging materials should be placed externally or recycled in accordance with environmental regulations.
6、 Install Start Run
1 . Install in place
The installation area is a non explosive area. Please consult the supplier for applications in explosion-proof situations. The ambient temperature meets the requirements: 0 to 40 degrees Celsius, and the ambient pressure is not higher than atmospheric pressure.
The environmental conditions comply with the motor protection level (as indicated on the motor nameplate), typically IP55 vacuum pump surface does not come into contact with flammable materials. Ensure that the vacuum pump is installed in a well ventilated location with a distance of not less than 20CM from surrounding objects. If multiple pumps are installed side by side, the distance should not be less than 50CM to ensure that the installation position is easy to observe the oil level.
If maintenance work needs to be carried out on the installation site, it is necessary to reserve maintenance channels and disassembly space for maintenance.
The pump must be placed horizontally or fixed on a flat surface, and other installation methods are not allowed. The pump can be firmly attached to the platform or bracket through the screw holes on the rubber shock-absorbing feet.
2 . Connection of suction duct
Remove the sealing plastic (rubber) plugs from the intake and exhaust ports. The air inlet can be connected by a vacuum sealed hard or flexible tube.
The use of hard pipe connections cannot cause additional stress on the suction flange of the pump, and a transitional flexible joint must be installed. To avoid reducing the pumping rate of the pump, the diameter of the suction pipe should not be smaller than the diameter of the inlet flange of the pump.
If the suction pipeline is long, it is necessary to carefully choose pipes with larger diameters to avoid reducing the efficiency of the entire system. If you have any questions, please consult the supplier.
Foreign solid particles (such as welding slag from pipelines) and liquids are not allowed to enter the suction pipe. You can consult the supplier to choose a suitable filtering device.
If there is a certain amount of condensable gas (such as water vapor) in the extracted gas, a shut-off valve should be installed in the suction pipeline. To prevent backflow during shutdown (after the pump is shut down, the vacuum pump oil is sucked back into the vacuum container or suction pipeline), it is recommended to install a shut-off valve (solenoid valve or pneumatic valve) at the pump port. The check valve that comes with the pump cannot guarantee absolute reliability.
3 . Exhaust connection
At the beginning of use, a small amount of oil mist will be discharged from the exhaust port of this type of pump. Unless otherwise specified, the pump can directly discharge into the atmosphere.
When used indoors or in places with emission requirements, an external oil mist filter can be installed to solve the problem of oil mist. (See Section 13, Optional Accessories)
7、 Keep going
When a new or repaired pump leaves the factory, the pump is not filled with oil, there is no oil or insufficient oil, causing serious malfunctions or scrapping |
Vacuum pump oil must be added before starting the pump.
Unscrew the fuel plug and slowly add oil into the pump. After refueling, wait for the oil level to stop and observe. The oil level should be below but close to the oil level line on the oil level gauge.
Tighten the fuel plug.
8、 Electrical connection
Electrical connections must be made by professionals. (Strictly follow the wiring instructions on the motor nameplate and junction box) Confirm that the voltage and frequency of the power supply are consistent with the nameplate value of the motor.
If the vacuum pump is installed on a movable machine base, the cable should be installed with a drag chain or a hanging cable to avoid tearing or abrasion.
Try turning forward by manually rotating the coupling or motor fan to drain the oil stored in the pump chamber, in order to prevent fuel injection during reverse rotation. From one end of the motor fan, the impeller should rotate clockwise, as indicated by the arrow.
Start the motor briefly and check the direction of rotation of the pump. To change the direction of rotation, swap any two phases of the three-phase power supply.
9、 Operation
1 . It is normal for the pump to produce excessive noise during the first few seconds after starting with cold oil.
2 . To remove condensable steam, such as large amounts of water vapor, drying processes, etc. Before operation, the gas damper should be opened and the inlet should be closed
Run the air port for 20-30 minutes to reach the normal operating temperature of the pump above 60 degrees Celsius. Only by reaching this working temperature can condensable gases be effectively removed.
3 . After using the pump, the suction port should be closed and operated for 15-30 minutes to purify the pump oil. (Especially for situations where there is a high content of water vapor in the extracted gas)
4. The normal operating temperature rise of the pump can reach 50-60 degrees Celsius or above. Do not touch the high temperature on the surface of the pump The pump cannot pump the atmosphere for a long time, and the atmospheric time cannot exceed 2 minutes
6 . The pump can work continuously for a long time, but it is necessary to observe the oil level and color daily according to maintenance requirements.
Starting and shutting down more than 10 times per hour will seriously affect the normal life of the pump and motor. Suggest installing a control valve to achieve the connection and closure of the vacuum pipeline.

10、 Daily maintenance
The maintenance items and time intervals of vacuum pumps are determined according to the different working conditions of each user.
The following maintenance items and time intervals are for reference only. Users need to shorten or extend the time interval according to actual working conditions.
Attention: For vacuum pumps working in heavily polluted environments, dusty environments, humid and high temperature environments, or for working conditions where the extracted gas contains water vapor, small amounts of solvent gas, particulate matter, etc., the maintenance interval needs to be shortened.
