Current national standard methodsrecommendofMultiple agricultural and animal residuesTesting technology is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and costly,Generally used for supervision and testing of agricultural products after they are launched on the market.

Fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry and eggs have time requirements from picking, slaughtering to market, and require rapid detection results.
There is still room for improvement in the existing fast inspection technology.
IIThe limitations of existing rapid detection technologies for agricultural and animal residues
There are several issues with current fast inspection technology:
1There are few fast inspection methods available.
The fast inspection methods stipulated by the state are only15, covering too few types of agricultural products and veterinary drugs. The monitoring of pesticide residues in agricultural products by the government has reached hundreds of items, and rapid testing methods are difficult to truly play a monitoring role.
2Single principle.
The principles of fast detection methods included in national standards include colloidal gold immunochromatography, Raman spectroscopy, etc.
3Simple detection of target objects.
Only one target can be detected at a time, lacking high-throughput non targeted equipment.
4The detection result is unreliable.
Cannot detect, cannot detect quickly, or cannot detect accurately.
In actual food safety supervision, it is necessary to truly determine whether agricultural and animal residues exceed the standardSending the food to testing institutions for quantitative analysis using mass spectrometry, it is usually only after the food has already been marketed or even consumed by the public that it is disclosed that the pesticide or veterinary drug exceeds the standard. Removing it from the shelves not only causes huge economic losses to distributors, but also poses hidden risks to public health.
Detection of agricultural and animal residues by tandem mass spectrometryWith high sensitivity and accurate results, it is currently the most reliable method for monitoring agricultural and animal residues. However, due to the time-consuming and labor-intensive preprocessing and data processing of this method, it has always been used as a national standard method and is only used when a testing and certification report is required.
