The GERSTEL large volume cold injection system CIS is a widely used universal injection port sold worldwide. CIS combines high performance and flexibility, making it easy to apply to all liquid injection techniques in GC and GC/MS: split flow, no split flow, and large volume injection (LVI) on the column.

Thanks to CIS and its non spacer injection head SLH, users can achieve lower detection limits and reduce the workload of sample preparation. By precisely controlling the heating rate of the program, the analyte can be transferred to the GC column in an accurate and reproducible manner without excessive heating, and discrimination can still be avoided within a wide boiling point range.

The programmed heating system can reliably reach 650 ° C and the effective CIS liner geometry ensure uniform heating distribution and highly controllable and repeatable compound gasification process. The solvent emptying mode and large volume injection calculation software can accurately remove water or solvent from the matrix before heating the sample. As shown in the figure below, inject the sample with the diversion valve open. After keeping the initial temperature of the injector below the boiling point of the solvent for a period of time, close the bypass valve after the solvent is blown out. The remaining analyte is transferred to the cold trap in an undifferentiated manner, and then rapidly heated and transferred to the chromatographic column, with an injection volume of up to 1000 μ L.
