The performance of the fan is the basis for the reasonable selection of fans, and the methods of representing fan performance and selecting fans are different.

1. Select a fan using the fan performance table:

Using the water pump performance table to select the same water pump, although simple and convenient, cannot accurately determine the operating conditions of the fan device, and is suitable for selecting a single operating condition fan. Validation for comparative analysis of choices cannot solve the problem of adjusting operating conditions.

2. Using the performance curve of the fan to select the fan:

Using the performance curve of a water pump to select a water pump is the most basic and relatively simple method. Facilitating the analysis of operating conditions and determining adjustment parameters. The comparability of using performance curves is poor.

3. Using the dimensionless performance curve of the fan to select the fan:

The dimensionless performance curve of a fan represents the dimensionless performance parameters of a series of fans in various forms and with different machine numbers. To narrow down the selection range, first choose the speed of the fan.

Proper maintenance and upkeep are important guarantees for the safe and reliable operation of fans and the improvement of their service life. Therefore, when using fans, sufficient attention must be paid.

1. Impeller maintenance:

During the initial operation of the impeller and all regular inspections, it is necessary to check for defects such as cracks, wear, and dust accumulation whenever there is an opportunity.

Whenever possible, the impeller must be kept clean and regularly brushed with a wire brush to remove dust and rust deposits. As the operating time increases, these dust particles cannot evenly adhere to the impeller, causing balance damage and even rotor vibration.

Once the impeller has been repaired, it needs to be dynamically balanced again. If possible, a portable dynamic balancing device can be used for on-site balancing. Before performing dynamic balancing, it is necessary to check whether all fastening bolts are tightened. Because the impeller has been operating in an unbalanced state for some time, these bolts may have become loose.

2. Bearing maintenance:

Regularly check the lubrication oil supply of the bearings. If there is oil leakage in the casing, tighten the bolts of the end cap slightly. If this still doesn't work, you may have to replace it with a new sealing packing.

When the lubricating oil of the bearing is used normally, it should be replaced at least once every six months,When using it again, it should be done approximately after 200 hours of operation. The second oil change should be done after 1-2 months, and the lubricating oil should be checked once a week thereafter. If the lubricating oil has not deteriorated, the oil change work can be extended to once every 2-4 months. When replacing, the specified brand of lubricating oil must be used (as specified in the overall drawing), and the old oil in the oil tank must be drained and cleaned before filling with new oil.

If the fan bearings need to be replaced, the following precautions should be taken:

Before installing the new bearing, both the bearing and the bearing housing must be thoroughly cleaned. Heat the bearing in oil at a temperature of approximately 70-80 ℃ before installing it onto the shaft. Do not forcefully assemble it to avoid damaging the shaft.

3. Maintenance and upkeep of other supporting equipment:

The maintenance and repair of each supporting equipment, including motors, electric actuators, instruments, meters, etc., are detailed in their respective user manuals.
