Adopting a combination of linear polarization resistance (LPR) and alternating current impedance spectroscopy (EIS) technology.
The polarization resistance Rp is related to the metal corrosion rate occurring in the tested system as follows:

Fp=[Ba*Bc/2.303(Ba+Bc)]/Rp

In the formula: Fp - corrosion rate, Ki - conversion factor, Rp - polarization resistance,
Ba, Bc - Tafel slope of cathodic and anodic curves.
