GneuB screw extruderGenerally, it is a single screw extruder with a special degassing section. The polymer melt is fed into a large single screw drum. The drum contains 8 or 10 (depending on the model size) small extruder barrels, parallel to the main screw shaft. In the small barrel is the "satellite" screw, which is driven by the ring gear in the main barrel. When the "satellite" screw rotates around the screw axis, it is in the opposite direction to the main screw. This asymmetric operation design can increase the surface exchange of polymer melt. Meanwhile, avoid the meshing issues in traditional multi axis or multi screw designs.
