The A+K integrated balanced flowmeter has a measurement accuracy that is 5 to 10 times that of traditional orifice plate throttling devices. The flow noise is reduced to 1/15, and the long-term pressure loss is about 1/3. The pressure recovery is 2 times faster, and the minimum straight pipe section is 2D. Marshall Aviation Flight Center has designed and invented a new type of flow meter for measuring liquid oxygen in the main engine of space shuttles, called the A+K Integrated Balanced Flow Meter (BFM). The measurement accuracy of this flow meter is 5-10 times that of traditional orifice plate throttling devices, the flow noise is reduced to 1/15, the pressure loss is about 1/3, the pressure recovery is 2 times faster, the minimum straight pipe section is 2D, the installation is simple and convenient, the use is safe and reliable, and it can save a lot of straight pipe sections and reduce operating energy consumption.

A+K integrated balance flowmeter

The research and application of differential pressure flowmeter has a history of over a hundred years, and its principle is based on the law of conservation of energy and the flow continuity equation. The fluid filled in the pipeline flows through the throttling device inside the pipeline, and the flow beam forms a local contraction at the throttling element, increasing the flow velocity and reducing the static pressure, resulting in a static pressure difference (or differential pressure) before and after the throttling element. Calculate the flow rate of fluid passing through the throttling device by measuring the static pressure difference. The larger the flow rate, the greater the differential pressure generated before and after the throttling element.
