Product description

Globe valves are used to close, open, and throttle pipeline media. Globe valves can completely block fluid and form a good seal under the action of the valve stem; It is a widely used type of valve, and its popularity is due to the low friction between the sealing surfaces during the opening and closing process. Its sealing is achieved by applying torque to the valve stem, which exerts pressure on the valve disc in the axial direction, causing the sealing surface of the valve disc to tightly adhere to the sealing surface of the valve seat, preventing the medium from leaking along the gaps between the sealing surfaces. Durable, with a small opening height, easy to manufacture, and convenient to maintain, it is not only suitable for medium and low voltage, but also for high voltage.


working principle

The shut-off valve relies on rotating the handwheel to raise and lower the valve stem, driving the valve disc to make a linear displacement parallel to the flow direction of the medium, achieving the purpose of opening and closing. The handwheel rotates clockwise, and the working medium enters through the channel below the valve. At this time, the sealing force to be applied must be equal to or greater than the sum of the necessary pressure on the sealing surface and the upward force of the medium. When the shut-off valve is opened and the opening height of the valve disc is 25% to 30% of the nominal diameter, the flow rate has reached its maximum, indicating that the valve has reached the fully open position. So the fully open position of the shut-off valve should be determined by the stroke of the valve disc.
