On June 1, 2026, the technology achievement appraisal conference hosted by the China Textile Industry Federation was successfully held at Kuangda Automotive Accessories System Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kuangda Technology. The project led by Kuangda Decoration, jointly completed by Wuhan Textile University and Nantong University, entitled "Key Technologies and Industrialization of Green Preparation of Raw Liquid Colored Microfiber Imitation Suede Fabric", has successfully passed the expert group appraisal, and the overall technology has reached the international advanced level. Among them, the manufacturing technology of water-based microfiber imitation suede fabric, which replaces organic solvents, is at the international leading level.

Cheng Bowen, an academician of the CAE Member, served as the director of the appraisal committee, and the Science and Technology Development Department of the China Textile Industry Federation, as well as many authoritative experts in the field of textile materials and green manufacturing, participated in the appraisal. Gong Xudong, Vice Chairman of Kuangda Technology and General Manager of Kuangda Decoration, expressed his gratitude to all the experts for their diligent review.
In response to the industry pain points of high organic solvent consumption, high VOC emissions, and high comprehensive energy consumption in the production process of traditional microfiber suede like leather, Kuangda has successfully constructed a full process water-based preparation technology system, completely replacing organic solvents and achieving the goal of
raw materialThe green manufacturing upgrade of the entire industrial chain of finished products has significantly reduced energy consumption and wastewater discharge in the production process. The product outperforms similar products in key indicators such as odor, sun fastness, wear resistance, and restricted substances. We have created a mature and feasible systematic solution for the clean production of interior materials for transportation vehicles.
At present, Kuangda has built a large-scale production line, and its products are widely used in the interior of high-end models of mainstream car companies, with a good market reputation. The successful implementation of this project has propelled domestic microfiber suede manufacturing into a new stage of green and clean development, which more accurately aligns with the company's strategic blueprint for expanding into the "big transportation" field. It will effectively promote the green ecological construction of the interior industry chain and practice the national "dual carbon" strategy with practical actions.
During the appraisal meeting, members of the expert group visited Kuangda Fiber and Kuangda Textile on site and inspected the production site. At the meeting, Wu Shuangquan, Vice President and Chief Engineer of Kuangda Technology, reported the project research content, innovative technologies, and achievements to the expert group and leaders.
