The high temperature and humidity environment in summer poses a severe challenge to injection molding machines. Scientific maintenance can effectively prevent malfunctions and ensure stable production. The following are the core precautions for summer maintenance.
  01hydraulic system
Strictly control the oil temperature to prevent overheating of the "heart"
The hydraulic system is the power core of the injection molding machine, and high oil temperature in summer is the primary risk.

  PART.01
  Control oil temperature
The ideal working temperature for hydraulic oil is 30-50 ℃. When the oil temperature exceeds 60 ℃, the viscosity of the oil will sharply decrease, leading to increased leakage, unstable pressure, and accelerationsealing elementageing. The oil temperature should be stabilized at 45-55 ℃ by installing or inspecting cooling devices (air-cooled/water-cooled).

  Ensure cooling

Check whether the cooling water circulation is smooth, whether the inlet and outlet water pressure difference is normal, and regularly clean the scale and impurities inside the cooler. When the ambient temperature is high, the cooling system should be started immediately upon startup.

High temperature will accelerate the oxidation and deterioration of hydraulic oil. It is recommended to increase the frequency of oil quality testing. If the oil is found to be black, cloudy, or have an odor, it should be replaced immediately. At the same time, strengthen inspections to prevent leaks in oil pipes, joints, and seals.
  02Electrical system
Moisture and heat prevention, building a strong safety defense line

High temperature and humidity coexist, and electrical systems are prone to faults such as short circuits and overheating.

  Clean and dissipate heat
Regularly clean the fan filter and internal dust of the electrical control cabinet to ensure unobstructed heat dissipation channels. Check if the cooling fan or air conditioner inside the cabinet is working properly.

  Moisture proof sealing
Check if the sealing strip of the electric control cabinet door is intact, and place a desiccant inside the cabinet to block moisture. For equipment that uses chilled water, special attention should be paid to checking components such as servo drives to prevent malfunctions caused by condensation due to temperature differences.

  Check the line
Regularly check the temperature of the circuit joints with an infrared thermometer, and immediately investigate if it exceeds 70 ℃. Check if all wiring terminals are securely fastened to prevent overheating or even fire caused by poor contact.

High temperatures can exacerbate the wear and thermal deformation of mechanical components.

  Upgrade lubrication
In summer, it should be replaced with synthetic lubricating oil or grease with high viscosity and high temperature resistance. Fully lubricate key moving parts such as pull rods, guide rails, and elbows to reduce frictional heat and wear.

  Pay attention to thermal expansion
High temperatures may cause thermal expansion of metal components, affecting mold locking accuracy and template parallelism. Pay attention to the operating status of the equipment and calibrate it if necessary.

The cooling system is the lifeline of equipment cooling and must maintain high efficiency.

  Clean up waterways
Regularly inspect and clean the cooler, cold water discharge, and mold cooling circuit to prevent scale and impurities from blocking and causing insufficient flow.

Ensure that the cooling water pump operates normally and the pressure is stable.

Regularly check the quality of cooling water to prevent microbial growth from affecting heat transfer efficiency.

  Avoid frequent starting and stopping
Frequent switching can cause the equipment to repeatedly experience thermal shock, exacerbating component wear and overheating risks.

  Keep the environment clean and tidy
Ensure that there is no accumulation of debris on the machine and its surroundings, which is beneficial for the heat dissipation and ventilation of electrical components.

  Shutdown corrosion prevention
When the machine is shut down for a long time, the mold should be opened and pushed out to prevent corrosive materials from damaging the mold; At the same time, try to empty the material inside the material pipe group as much as possible.
In summer, there are not only high temperatures, but also many storms. It is necessary to inspect the factory drainage system in advance to prevent equipment from being submerged in water. If water immersion occurs, the hydraulic system needs to be thoroughly cleaned and replaced with new oil; The core circuit board needs to be stored in a dry and sealed box for more than 72 hours, and after confirming complete drying, it can be powered on and turned on.
