Why is conveying rigid PVC a challenge?
Hard PVC is widely recognized as one of the most challenging materials in extrusion processes due to its high thermal sensitivity and easy degradation. Traditional gear pumps are prone to material retention in the gaps and dead corners of the pump body when processing PVC. Prolonged retention can lead to sedimentation, carbonization, and even process fluctuations and production interruptions.

We have undergone several years of joint research and development with Ruihao Group, completing multiple rounds of testing at the Ruihao Technology Center from 2022 to 2024, and successfully verifying the final prototype on a real production profile line in early 2025. By optimizing the thermal balance of the pump body, even if the melt temperature has decreased by 10 ° C, the temperature rise after flowing through the gear pump does not exceed 6 ° C, proving its excellent thermal control ability.
When using recycled PVC materials with low batch stability, extrax ⁶ EC performs particularly well. The constant displacement of the gear pump significantly reduces pressure fluctuations at the mold head, resulting in a significant improvement in the quality of profile products. At the same time, the extruder load is reduced by about 20%, which means that the equipment life is extended, the maintenance cycle is prolonged, and significant cost savings are achieved. No discoloration was observed in all recycled material tests, and no additional stabilizer was required. Ruihao was able to replace expensive raw materials with recycled materials, which not only reduced the cost of raw materials but also improved the environmental friendliness of production.
