  01. Steering wheel&instrument panel

LG Chem's heat-resistant ABS not only has high heat resistance, high impact resistance, and wear resistance, but also has good thermal stability and coating properties. LG Chem's PCR ABS is a plastic material prepared by mechanical recycling technology from discarded products such as televisions, refrigerators, and washing machines used by consumers. It has the same physical properties and quality as raw materials. When the PCR regeneration content reaches 50%, it can reduce carbon emissions by about 38%.

  Bio Circular-Balanced SSBR
LG Chem's SSBR material is made by solution polymerization using lithium catalyst, and has excellent mechanical properties, tensile strength, and viscoelasticity. Environmentally friendly SSBR materials are produced by replacing a portion of fossil fuels with plant-based materials based on existing traditional materials.
When used in tires, it enhances the affinity of silica and improves the adhesion between rubber materials. This type of high-performance environmentally friendly tire not only has excellent braking performance, but also effectively reduces tire wear, improves fuel efficiency, and reduces carbon emissions.
 *Silicon dioxide, as one of the six major raw materials for tire manufacturing, plays an important role in reinforcing rubber and preventing tire deformation.

LG Chem uses mechanical recycling of scrapped vehicles to produce PCR PA compounds, which have excellent flame retardancy, wear resistance, and physical properties equivalent to conventional PA. They can be used in automotive parts such as door handles that require high strength and high temperature resistance.

LG Chem's ultra-high polymerization degree PVC material has world leading ultra-high molecular weight and good plasticizer absorption capacity, and is easy to recycle and reuse. Due to its excellent heat resistance, flexibility, and flame retardancy, it is suitable for fields such as electric vehicle charging cables and environmentally friendly wear-resistant flooring.
When used for charging cables, its flexibility can be increased by about 30% compared to existing materials. At the same time, with its excellent flame retardant properties, it can effectively prevent the spread of fire and avoid the occurrence of fire accidents.
  06 car lights
  PCR PC
The light ring is the frame part of the car lamp, which plays a role in distributing the optical fibers inside the lamp. Therefore, materials suitable for the lamp ring need to withstand high temperatures and impact strength.
LG Chem's PC material has a strength 150 times that of tempered glass and can withstand high temperatures above 120 ℃. The regenerated PC content in PCR PC products can reach 100%, effectively reducing carbon emissions generated during the manufacturing process.
