LG Chem HRTP series products
The full name of HRTP is "Heat resistant and Recyclable Thermal Plastic", and numbers such as "4000" represent the polymerization degree index of the polymer. The polymerization degree of commonly used PVC is around 1000. The higher the polymerization degree index, the larger the molecular weight of the polymer, and the better its physical and mechanical properties, but it can also lead to a decrease in its processing performance.
To this end, LG Chem has launched the ultra-high polymerization degree PVC HRTP series, which not only has world leading ultra-high molecular weight and good plasticizer absorption capacity, but also is easy to recycle and reuse. With its high flexibility, high flame retardancy, and excellent mechanical and processing properties, it is suitable for various application scenarios such as electric vehicle charging cables, high resistance heat wire harnesses, environmentally friendly wear-resistant flooring, impact resistant pipes, and automotive interior fabrics.

01. High flexibility and toughness
The charging cable adopts ultra-high polymerization degree PVC HRTP4000 material, which has increased flexibility by about 30% compared to existing materials, greatly improving the flexibility and convenience of the product. Therefore, the HRTP series is an ideal material for flexible cables with various charging interfaces.
02. High flame retardancy
In the direct combustion performance test of HRTP4000, the flame immediately extinguished once the ignition source was removed. At the same time, its ultimate oxygen index reaches 26, which is higher than the existing TPE and TPU materials for charging cables. Therefore, HRTP4000 has excellent flame retardant properties, which can effectively prevent the spread of fire and avoid the occurrence of fire accidents.
03High temperature stability&wear resistance
This material has excellent heat resistance, with a UL temperature index of 125 ℃. In addition, adding 30% ultra-high polymerization degree PVC material has increased the wear resistance by about 40% compared to existing LVT flooring, and good wear resistance can extend the service life of the flooring.
04environmental friendliness
Currently, most PVC products are disposed of through landfill or incineration. Products made from HRTP series materials can be recycled and reused when discarded. After multiple processes such as screening, separation, crushing, and cleaning, granular recycled PVC materials are produced through composite technology. By using LG Chem recycled PVC material, the product can achieve lightweight design while reducing carbon emissions by about 40%.

LG Chem has signed a cooperation agreement with ELEELECTIC, a South Korean EV charging station cable manufacturing company, to develop environmentally friendly and flame-retardant cables for electric vehicles. LG Chem will supply ultra-high polymerization PVC materials to ELEELECTIC and jointly expand the market for electric vehicle charging cables.

LG Chem and China JuDusheng Polymer Technology Co., Ltd. have signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the development of high-performance environmentally friendly flame-retardant cables, further strengthening cooperation in the product and technology development of ultra-high polymerization degree PVC, jointly creating high-level cable products, and jointly exploring the Chinese cable environmentally friendly flame-retardant material market.
