How to maintain and upkeep a high-speed mixer

High speed mixer is a commonly used equipment in industries such as plastics, rubber, food, and chemical, used to evenly mix various materials. Regular maintenance is crucial to ensure its normal operation, extend its service life, and ensure the quality of the mixture. The following are the maintenance points for high-speed mixers:

1、 Daily inspection and cleaning

  • Visual inspection
    • Check the bodyBefore and after each use, check the mixer body for cracks, deformation, or damage, especially in the mixing chamber, mixing blade, and cover. If any abnormalities are found, the machine should be stopped immediately and professional personnel should be contacted for repair.
    • Fastener inspectionCheck whether the bolts, nuts, and other fasteners of each component are loose. If they are loose, they should be tightened in a timely manner to prevent the equipment from loosening due to vibration during operation and causing safety accidents.
  • Clean the mixing room
    • Residual material cleaningAfter each use, residual materials in the mixing chamber should be promptly cleaned to prevent material clumping or deterioration that may affect the next use. For materials that are prone to adhesion, specialized cleaning tools such as scrapers, brushes, etc. can be used to remove the material.

    • Chain and gear lubricationFor mixers that use chain or gear transmission, it is necessary to regularly check the tension of the chain and the meshing of the gears, and add an appropriate amount of lubricating oil. Loose or tight chains can affect transmission efficiency and equipment lifespan, and poor lubrication of gears can lead to increased wear.

3、 Electrical system maintenance

    • Insulation performance testingRegularly check the insulation resistance of the motor using a megohmmeter to ensure good insulation performance of the motor. Low insulation resistance may cause motor leakage and lead to safety accidents. The insulation resistance of a general motor should not be less than 0.5 megohms.

    • Contactors and relaysCheck whether the contacts of electrical components such as contactors and relays are in good contact and whether there is any burning phenomenon. Poor contact of the contacts can cause the equipment to fail to start or operate stably, and severely eroded contacts need to be replaced in a timely manner.
    • Line inspectionCheck whether the electrical circuit is damaged, aged, or loose. Damaged circuits may cause short circuits or leakage, the insulation performance of aging circuits may decrease, and loose circuits may cause poor contact. If any problems are found, they should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.

4、 Regular maintenance and calibration

5、 Long term shutdown maintenance
