New Magna Mike8600 Hall Effect Thickness Gauge
Thickness measurement of non-ferrous materials
Measurable thickness up to 25.4 millimeters
Flat and right angle probes with replaceable wear caps
Small scan mode with a measurement rate of 60 Hz
Hall effect technology
Magna Mike 8600 is a portable thickness gaugeIt uses a simple magnetic method to reliably and repetitively measure the thickness of non-ferrous materials. The operation of Magna Mike instrument is very simple. When measuring, hold or move the magnetic probe on one side of the material being measured, and place a small target steel ball (or target disk, target steel wire) on the other side of the material or in a container. The Hall effect sensor of the probe measures the distance from the probe end to the targetThe distance between the steel balls. The measured distance is immediately displayed on the screen in numerical form as a thickness reading for easy recognition.
MAGNA MIKE8600Wall thickness measuring instrumentTwo new types of probes with replaceable wear caps
Magna Mike offers two types of magnetic probes: flat and angled. Both types of probes are equipped with replaceable wear-resistant caps, which enhances the durability of the probes and reduces the cost of replacing them.
New features added:
The following are the main features of Magna Mike 8600 that are superior to Magna Mike 8500.
Two sturdy and durable new probes: flat and right angle
Standard and chisel pointed replaceable wear-resistant caps
More target options for 4.76mm and 6.35mm magnetic beads
Target steel wire
Larger thickness range, measurable thickness up to 25.4 millimeters
Larger color VGA display
RS-232, USB, and VGA outputs
Quick measurement update rate: 60 Hz
Editable password based instrument lock
Designed to comply with IP67 standards
Expanded capacity alphanumeric data logger
Save the calibration file and call the stored calibration file
New desktop body structure with instrument stand
Files can be exported to a MicroSD card in. txt and CSV formats
New attachment package (calibration package) standard test block, with a thickness of up to 9.1 millimeters
Extended range, up to 25.4 millimeters
Disc bag
Target steel wire package
Belt chart view
Standard wear-resistant cap
Chisel pointed anti-wear cap
Strip chart view with statistical data
The measured thickness range is between 0.001 millimeters and 25.4 millimeters
Plastic and glass bottles and packaging
In the application of measuring the thickness of plastic containers, users only need to simply place small target steel balls into the container. The magnetic probe attached to the outside of the container will attract the target steel ball. When the probe moves on the outer surface of the container or at critical corners, the small steel ball will also move with the probe. In small mode, the thickness gauge will continuously display the current thickness value and small thickness value
Tear seams in cars
The Magna Mike 8600 is suitable for most automotive tear seam detection applications when used in conjunction with a standard probe, one disc of two target discs, and a replaceable pointed chisel type wear-resistant cap, as such measurements require small channels or grooves.
Built in alphanumeric data logger
Magna Mike is equipped with a file based extended alphanumeric data logger for convenient storage and transmission of thickness readings.
The data logger can store thickness readings in four standard file formats: incremental, sequential, sequential with custom points, and two-dimensional raster.
You can use WINXL to directly transfer data to an Excel spreadsheet in separate or file format
Send data to other SPC programs
USB and RS-232 outputs
Export files in. txt or CSV format to a pluggable MicroSD card
Create onboard report
Connect directly to an Excel spreadsheet
The Magna Mike 8600 comes with RS-232 and USB outputs, allowing the instrument to directly transfer data to an Excel spreadsheet. The built-in WINXL interface program can transmit thickness readings to the computer in the form of individual or file transmission.
Applications in aerospace and other fields
Magna Mike has been successfully applied in quality control programs in the aerospace industry, measuring various components of aerospace vehicles made of composite and non-ferrous materials.
The target steel wire can be inserted into the cooling holes of the turbine blades, while larger magnetic target steel balls can be used to measure jet engine components up to 25.4 millimeters thick.
