When working in PC2Lab for laboratory purification engineering, it is necessary to wear laboratory clothes and shoes that cover your feet Cannot eat or drink water Be sure to lock the door after leaving PC2Lab can handle it. The laboratory notebook should be separated from the laboratory bench, and the lab coat cannot be taken out of the laboratory (unless it is washed).
P2 laboratory is a Level 2 biosafety laboratory, equivalent to BSL-2 laboratory.
BLS-2 laboratory is mainly used for primary health services, diagnosis, and research. The hazard level of its experimental subjects is Level II (moderate individual hazard, limited group hazard), specifically defined as "pathogens that can cause disease in humans or animals, but generally do not cause serious harm to health workers, populations, livestock, or the environment. Laboratory infections do not cause serious diseases, have effective treatment and prevention measures, and have limited transmission risks".
Laboratory Air Purification EngineeringThe following technical indicators (static) are specified in the document: air purification engineering, and technical indicators for air purification engineering.
1. Cleanliness: No requirement
2. Zui small air change rate: can open windows for ventilation
3. Pressure difference between rooms adjacent to the outdoor direction: No requirement
4. Temperature ℃: 18-27
5. Relative humidity%: 30~70
6. Noise dB (A): ≤ 60
7. Zui low light lx: 300
IILaboratory Air Purification EngineeringRequirements for building, structure, and decoration in the technical indicators of air purification engineering:
Nowadays, most BLS-2 laboratories are renovated within existing buildings. Unlike newly built BLS-2 laboratories (which are required by national standards to be located a certain distance away from public places), there is a relative isolation problem between them and adjacent rooms. Therefore, when renovating the BLS-2 laboratory in the original building, the following issues should be emphasized:
1. When building a BLS-2 laboratory in a shared building, automatic lockable doors should be installed, and buffer areas such as buffer rooms can be set up if necessary.
2. If there is no mechanical ventilation system, there should be windows for natural ventilation and insect screens. In general, there should be a mechanical ventilation system, otherwise the temperature and humidity indicators are difficult to guarantee.
3. Measures should be taken to prevent insects, mice, and other animals from entering and escaping.
3、 Central air conditioning, ventilation, and purification
To meet the temperature and humidity requirements of BLS-2 laboratory, a mechanical air conditioning ventilation system should be equipped. If there are special requirements, additional design requirements can be added, such as adding purification requirements and designing the return (exhaust) air system according to the purification requirements. In this regard, the following issues should be focused on:
1. An air conditioning system with circulating air can be used. If chemical solvents, infectious material handling, and animal experiments are involved, a full exhaust system should be used.
2. The biosafety cabinet is connected to the exhaust system.
Level I exhaust ratio99%Closed connection.
Class II Type A exhaust ratio of 30%, which can be discharged to rooms or equipped with local exhaust hoods.
B1 type exhaust ratio of 70%, sealed connection.
B2 type exhaust ratio of 99%, sealed connection.
3. The position of various equipment in the laboratory should be conducive to the flow of air from the "clean" space to the "polluted" space, minimizing indoor backflow and leakage to the greatest extent possible (biosafety cabinets should generally be placed downstream of indoor air flow, that is, far away from the air supply outlet).
The exhaust of biosafety cabinets cannot replace indoor exhaust.
4、 Drainage
Bacterial containing wastewater should be discharged into the municipal sewage discharge system after undergoing high-temperature and high-pressure disinfection or chemical disinfection.
5、 Electrical settings
1. A distribution box should be installed.
2. The power supply should be equipped with a leakage detection and alarm device.
3. There should be a reliable grounding system, and its grounding resistance should not exceed 1 Ω.
4. The laboratory entrance should have a text-based light signal display indicating the working status of the laboratory.
5. Emergency illuminated evacuation signs should be installed.
6、 Fire Protection
The fire resistance rating of the building shall not be lower than Grade II.
7、 Process equipment to be equipped
1. Biosafety cabinet
(1) Operations that generate microbial aerosols or result in splashing can be carried out using a Class I biosafety cabinet.
(2) When handling sensory materials, a biosafety cabinet should be used.
(3) When dealing with chemical carcinogens, radioactive substances, and volatile solvents, a Class II-B biosafety cabinet should be used.
2. High temperature and high pressure sterilization and disinfection cabinet.
3. Eye wash stations should be equipped with emergency sprinkler systems if necessary.
*The ultra clean workbench does not belong to a biosafety cabinet and cannot be used for biosafety operations.
The BLS-2 laboratory is used for preliminary biosafety experiments, and the national standard specifies corresponding requirements. The establishment of BLS-2 laboratory should be based on national standards and the construction goals should be determined on the premise of ensuring safety. The laboratory established should be safe and economical.
Purification principle
Airflow → Primary air treatment → Air conditioning → Medium efficiency air treatment → Fan air supply → Purification pipeline → High efficiency air outlet → Clean room → Remove dust (bacteria) → Return air duct → Fresh air and primary air treatment.
Repeat the above process to achieve the purification goal.
