Overview: The insulation material smoldering performance testing device is a smoldering performance testing equipment developed according to the technical requirements specified in Appendix D of DB11/381-2016 "Insulation Material smoldering performance testing method". Purpose: Suitable for testing and evaluating the smoldering performance of organic exterior wall insulation materials.

Principle: Heat the sample at the required temperature for a certain period of time on the corresponding fixture of the product testing equipment, record relevant data (such as temperature rise curve, sample heat release curve), and use it to test and evaluate its smoldering performance.

5、 Equipment structure

1. Sample basket holder: convenient for placing the test piece into a metal mesh basket;

2. Test furnace body: Test heating furnace;

4. Sample Center: The location where the thermocouple is placed at the center of the sample;

5. Furnace temperature: Place the temperature thermocouple inside the heating furnace;

6、 Sample production

1. Sample size: (100 × 100 × 100) mm ³;

2. When the insulation material (product) has a covering layer, the covering layer should be removed when preparing the sample;

3. When the thickness of the insulation material (product) is less than 100mm, the test piece should be prepared by stacking, and the position where the temperature measuring thermocouple is placed in the center of the test piece should not be at the joint of the test piece.

7、 Determination of smoldering performance test results——Appendix D Insulation Material Combustion Performance Tester DB11/381

During the 24-hour test period, if the center temperature of the sample is not greater than 600 ℃, the test result is judged as qualified;

If the center temperature of the sample is greater than 600 ℃, the test result is judged as unqualified.
