In addition, there are various types of derived seals (such as slip ring seals). Gear pump is a rotary positive displacement pump. When the gear rotates, the volume of the space on the disengagement side of the gear increases from small to large, forming a vacuum that sucks in the liquid. The volume of the space on the meshing side of the gear decreases from large to small, squeezing the liquid into the pipeline. Due to the continuous meshing of teeth, this phenomenon occurs continuously, thus forming a continuous conveying process. This process is performed in the same way for both gaseous and liquid media. Therefore, the gear pump can automatically exhaust the suction side until the entire pipe is filled with liquid conveying medium. Under the following conditions, it is not possible to exhaust the suction side: - The suction side is not sealed and negative pressure cannot be established. -The pressure in the suction side pipeline system or container is too low to allow the medium to be replenished. This situation may occur under vacuum conditions or when the liquid level below the gear pump is too far away from the gear pump. -A check valve (with an exhaust valve) is installed on the pressure side of the gear pump. The pressure limiting valve can be designed as a spring-loaded valve integrated into the end cover of the gear pump.
