The main function of a vertical low-speed cryogenic centrifuge is to separate liquid mixtures into components of different densities through centrifugal force, and to rapidly freeze and preserve them using ultra-low temperature technology. 1、 Structure
Vertical low-speed cryogenic centrifuges are usually composed of rotors, centrifuge tubes, control panels, etc. Among them, the rotor is the most core component of the entire equipment, with centrifugal holes or fixtures inside that can accommodate centrifuge tubes or sample holders. Centrifugal tubes are containers used to load separated materials, usually made of high-strength materials such as polypropylene. The control panel is used to adjust device parameters such as speed, time, temperature, etc.
2、 Principle
The separation principle of a vertical low-speed cryogenic centrifuge is based on the stratification effect of substances with different densities under centrifugal force. When the mixed liquid rotates in the centrifuge, it is subjected to centrifugal force, causing substances with higher density to move towards the centrifugal axis, while substances with lower density move towards the rotation radius, ultimately forming separated materials of different levels.
Meanwhile, ultra-low temperature technology is also utilized to rapidly freeze the separated materials. By lowering the internal temperature of the device to below -80 ℃, the moisture in the sample can quickly crystallize and form a glassy solid state. This ultra-low temperature storage can effectively extend the lifespan of the sample and maintain its original characteristics and activity.
