The S2C R USBL ultra short baseline underwater positioning system does not require positioning and communication mode conversion: positioning data is calculated simultaneously with acoustic transmission. These two functions complement each other in the integrated positioning and communication system, opening up new and extensive prospects for underwater applications.

Application of S2CR USBL underwater positioning system:
Positioning offshore equipment: Track the location of offshore equipment during installation to ensure it is accurately deployed to the expected position.
ROV and AUV navigation: simultaneously track the positions of multiple ROVs and AUVs, and control their tasks using instant messaging commands.
Mapping: When combined with GPS or differential GPS, locate underwater features with geographic reference coordinates.

1. The slant range is estimated by measuring the time delay, and the accuracy of the slant range depends on the sound velocity profile, acoustic refraction, and signal-to-noise ratio.
2. Standard interface configuration combination: see optional items. The RS-485 interface does not support duplex communication and must be customized.
3. Only after installing the wake-up module can users configure the listening mode. The power consumption in listening mode depends on the settings of the listening mode.
4. For data with RS-232 interface, if Ethernet interface is used, the power consumption will increase by 600mW.

6.S2C R 48/78、 18/34 is the size of the formaldehyde plastic shell, while other versions are slightly larger; S2C R 12/24、 7/17 is the size of the titanium alloy shell, while other versions are slightly smaller.
7. An RS-232 connector can be replaced with an RS-485 or RS-422 interface.
When the wake-up module detects an incoming sound signal or data from the host interface, it will activate other parts of the device. The device will automatically shut down after completing data reception or transmission.
Note: The wake-up module is only compatible with RS-232 interfaces and not compatible with Ethernet, RS-485, and RS422 interfaces.
9. Internal Xsens ® MTi AHRS (Attitude Reference System) is used to compensate for equipment attitude changes. After installing AHRS, the power consumption will increase by 400mW.


S2C R 48/78 and 18/28 USBL S2C R 12/24 and 7/17 USBL
