Arc resistance
The ability of plastic materials to resist deterioration caused by high-voltage arc action is usually expressed in seconds by the time required for a standard arc flame to cause carbonization on the surface of the material until the surface conducts electricity and the arc disappears.
The method is to add two stainless steel electrodes separated by a certain distance on the plate-shaped sample, and generate an arc between the two poles with high voltage and small current or low voltage and large current as needed. At first, the intermittent time gradually shortened, and then it became a continuous arc with gradually increasing current. The material was subjected to increasingly harsh arc conditions, which eventually caused damage. Arc resistance is of great significance for insulation materials used in high-voltage switches or low-voltage high current switches, as they are often subjected to arc action during switch opening and closing. Only materials with good arc resistance can be selected.

structural composition

This instrument is divided into left and right structures. The upper left side is a small test chamber with built-in test electrode system, high-voltage output socket, test ammeter, etc; Sealed with tempered glass doors for easy observation and ensuring safety. The low-voltage terminal post is equipped with protective resistors for the high-voltage circuit, and the lower left side contains the high-voltage test transformer and voltage regulator.

On the right side of the instrument is the electrical box, which contains the PLC and touch screen of the control system, as well as various control circuits.
