Introduction to halogen-free plastics: halogen-free plastics are achieved by adding halogen-free flame retardants to raw materials. Generally, halogen-free flame retardants for plastics include phosphorus nitrogen expansion flame retardants (IFR), phosphorus based flame retardants, inorganic flame retardants such as magnesium hydroxide, aluminum hydroxide, zinc borate, etc. This type of flame retardant produces super strong acidic gases at high temperatures in injection molding and extrusion production, which can cause serious corrosion to screws and barrels. Generally, ordinary alloy screws and barrels are completely unusable after 2 to 3 months.
