1. The most commonly used and reasonable method for plastic granulation enterprises is to use appropriate heating equipment to remove waste plastics fixed on the screws of small plastic granulators by roasting or burning them with fire. However, it should be noted that acetylene gas flames should not be used to clean the screws. The temperature of acetylene flame can reach 3000 ° C. Using acetylene gas flame to clean the screw will not only damage the metal material properties of the screw, but also significantly endanger the mechanical equipment tolerance of the screw. If the acetylene flame turns into a long-lasting blue color when baking a certain position of the screw, it indicates that the metal structure of this part of the screw has changed, which will cause a decrease in wear resistance at that position, resulting in the separation of the wear layer from the base metal material. Another option of using acetylene flame for partial heating can also cause overheating on one side of the screw, resulting in deformation of the screw. Most screws are made of 4140. H.T. steel, with very tight dimensional tolerances, usually within 0.03mm. The verticality of the screw is mostly within 0.01mm. When the extruder screw is baked with acetylene flame and cooled with water, it generally cannot return to its initial flatness. Appropriate and reasonable method: Immediately use a blowtorch to clean the screw after application. Due to the heat generated during the machining process, the heat generated by the screw remains uniform throughout.
2. The first step in using an appropriate cleaning method to clean the screw of a plastic granulator is to close the feeding insert plate, which means closing the discharge port at the bottom of the silo; Subsequently, reduce the screw speed ratio to 15-25 r/min and maintain this rate until the solution flow at the front end of the mold stops flowing. The temperature of all heating zones in the barrel should be set at 200 ° C. If the barrel exceeds this temperature, cleaning should begin immediately. Due to different extrusion processes (which may require the removal of the die head to reduce the risk of excessive working pressure at the front end of the plastic granulator), cleaning must be carried out by one person: the operator observes the screw speed and torque from the operation panel, and together observes the extrusion pressure to ensure that the system working pressure is not too high. Throughout the entire process, the screw speed should be maintained within 20r/min. In the use of bottom pressure die heads, do not remove the die head for cleaning first. Immediately shut down and remove the mold head when the extruded material is completely converted from production processing resin to cleaning resin, and then restart the screw (with a speed between 10r/min) to facilitate the discharge of residual cleaning resin.
