A toothed gasket is a metal flat ring that is machined into a sawtooth shaped metal gasket with a 90 degree angle waveform on the ring plane.

In some situations where flexible composite materials cannot adapt or be used, only pure metal flat gaskets, toothed gaskets, or corrugated gaskets can be used. Metal flat gaskets and metal tooth shaped gaskets are equivalent to the metal skeleton of flat composite gaskets and tooth shaped composite gaskets (with identical processing technology and technical requirements). As they only contain metal materials, they are classified as metal gaskets. To reduce preload and improve sealing performance, the following measures are usually taken:

A. When using soft metals to meet other requirements, it should be possible to use low hardness materials such as aluminum, copper, or their alloys.

B. Change the heat treatment process to minimize material hardness as much as possible.
