C. O.D is the abbreviation for Corrugated Optical Duct in English for corrugated fiber optic cable conduits. On the basis of summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of various optical cables and cable conduits in the past, a new generation of high-performance optical cable conduits has been developed with a completely new concept. It uses modified HDPE with extremely low friction coefficient as the main raw material, with ribbed pipes with extremely low friction coefficient as sub pipes and corrugated pipes with high pressure resistance and easy bending as main pipes, and is extruded through composite extrusion. It is characterized by high pressure resistance, bendability, differentiation, and ease of construction, and has many advantages in physical properties, service life, engineering construction, etc. that many other products cannot compare with.
Performance characteristics:
Compression resistance
COD products have a special spiral shape, which enhances the compressive strength of traditional PE straight pipes. Their compressive strength is several times that of traditional pipes, improving effectiveness and elasticity. In the event of earthquakes, collapses, etc., they can also ensure safety.
Chemical resistant, highly durable, acid resistant, and alkali resistant, with even better water resistance. When laid in seawater and wetlands, it is corrosion-resistant and is a semi permanent pipeline.
reliability
Because the material is non-conductive and has high insulation, it is an ideal cable conduit. In addition, the thermal expansion and contraction of the appearance are significantly lower than those of traditional conduit systems, and due to the same raw materials used for both the interior and exterior, they always maintain the same ratio.
Due to the COD pipes (every 500 meters) being coiled on the pipe rack, a considerable amount of labor costs can be reduced. Most importantly, COD does not need to be inserted into the inner pipe because various inner pipes are already equipped inside the outer pipe.
Due to its lighter gravity (0.95:1.43), COD is relatively light, making it more convenient for construction and transportation compared to traditional pipes.
Due to thread processing, COD can bend freely, with force bending reaching up to 90 degrees or even larger angles, without the need for any special tools to bend or straighten. You can navigate around obstacles encountered at the construction site.
Due to the excellent single line design and low friction coefficient of the inner tube, there are no connections or twisting issues, making the wire particularly convenient and extending the distance between holes. The inner tube is completely airtight, capable of withstanding high internal pressure, and can use fiber optic cable air pulling method. Multiple inner tubes can be added with the same outer diameter to increase usage efficiency.
The most important thing is that COD can only import optical cables with a diameter of up to 75% of the inner pipe diameter, while traditional pipes can only import up to 50%.
