What are the common faults of dual axis crusher
Date: 2025-11-20Read: 3
As a commonly used equipment in industry and agriculture, the common faults of the double axis crusher are mainly concentrated in the four core modules of the knife group system, transmission system, feeding and load, and electrical control. These faults directly affect the operational stability of the equipment. The following are specific types and manifestations of faults:

1、 Knife group system malfunction

  1. Wear/breakage of blade teethBlunt cutting edges, gaps or fractures may result in decreased crushing efficiency, uneven particle size of finished products, and may be accompanied by metal abnormal noise during operation.
  2. Knife group stuck/lockedThe rotation of the knife group is obstructed, the speed drops sharply or even stops, and the motor load surges, which is often caused by excessive material, hard impurities blocking or small gaps.
  3. Loose/displaced blade groupThe fixing bolts of the blade teeth are loose, causing the blade group to shift on the shaft, resulting in abnormal clearance, equipment vibration, and large fluctuations in the particle size of the finished product.
  4. Bending and deformation of blade shaftThe equipment vibrates violently, the gap between the blade groups fluctuates, and even blade teeth collide, often caused by long-term overload or hard impurity impact.

2、 Transmission system malfunction

  1. Belt slippage/breakageBelt wear, improper tightness, or foreign object entanglement are manifested as a decrease in blade speed, motor idling, and accompanied by abnormal belt friction noise.
  2. Gearbox malfunctionGear wear, insufficient or deteriorated lubricating oil, transmission lag, abnormal noise, and even inability to transmit power may be accompanied by oil leakage.
  3. Coupling malfunctionLoose coupling, coaxiality deviation or damage, resulting in interruption of power transmission, severe vibration and impact sound during operation.
  4. Bearing damageBearing overheating (temperature exceeding 70 ℃), abnormal noise, or rotation jamming are often caused by insufficient lubrication, overload, or impurities entering, and in severe cases, can lead to spindle jamming.

3、 Feed and load failure

  1. Feed blockageMaterials accumulate at the feed inlet and cannot enter the blade group smoothly, manifested as interrupted discharge and abnormal equipment load, often caused by excessive feed or material adhesion.
  2. Poor discharge/uneven particle sizeThe accumulation of materials at the discharge port, mixed thickness of finished products, improper adjustment of core and gap, wear of cutting teeth or uneven feeding are related.

4、 Electrical control malfunction

  1. Motor failureMotor failure to start, tripping after starting, or abnormal speed may be caused by unstable voltage, damaged windings, or overload protection triggering.
  2. Inverter faultOut of control speed and display errors are often caused by incorrect parameter settings, overheating of the frequency converter, or damage to internal components.
  3. Sensor/switch malfunctionThe malfunction of the speed sensor and overload protection switch can cause the equipment to shut down accidentally or fail to trigger protection in a timely manner, posing a safety hazard.

5、 Other faults

  1. Seal leakageOil leakage in bearing seats, reducers, and other parts can be caused by aging seals, improper installation, or high pressure, which can easily lead to component corrosion.
  2. Body deformation/loosenessLong term overloading or uneven placement can lead to loose connecting bolts and deformation of the frame, exacerbating equipment vibration and component wear.
