When operating a twin-screw extruder, it is necessary to follow the operating procedures. Failure to follow the operating procedures or failure to fulfill the job responsibilities of this position, resulting in loss of parts and equipment and waste of raw materials, shall be borne by the operator.
Firstly, the unpacking inspection of the equipment is the first step in the factory acceptance of the twin-screw extruder.
During the unpacking inspection, it is likely to discover damaged parts and discrepancies between the quantity of parts and the packing list. Therefore, for the unpacking and acceptance of equipment, personnel from the supply, transportation, equipment power, and equipment management should be invited to participate. They should jointly inspect the equipment during unpacking and promptly negotiate with the supply unit if any problems are found.

Installation should not only be able to withstand the weight of the equipment itself and the raw materials used in production, but also withstand the dynamic load of the extruder during operation. The twin-screw extruder has the extruder principle of a single screw extruder: solid conveying, melting, pressurization and pumping, mixing, stripping and devolatilization, but it is not just that. The use of twin-screw extrusion units varies, and the auxiliary equipment they are equipped with also varies, such as cutters, dryers, printing devices, etc.
There are two main ways to handle emergency shutdown of twin-screw extruders: emergency shutdown and normal shutdown. The main steps are as follows:
1. Emergency stop.
Double screw extruderOnce an emergency situation occurs during the operation of the group, the emergency stop button should be pressed immediately (or when the shutdown button of the faulty part is pressed, it usually causes the host to shut down); After emergency shutdown, remember to immediately adjust the speed control knobs of the main motor and feeding motor to zero position, and shut down other auxiliary systems. 2. Normal parking.
When the extruder is not stopped due to a malfunction, it can be stopped in the following order: close the discharge gate of the hopper; Adjust the speed of the feeder to zero and press the stop switch button; Turn off the vacuum system and gradually reduce the screw speed (if new material needs to be replaced, try to exhaust the remaining material in the barrel as much as possible until the material is basically emptied). After adjusting the main engine speed to zero, press the main motor stop button; Cut off the multiple power switches on the main control cabinet and the main power switch for power supply; Close all inlet valves; Clean the machine
